An Evaluation of the Relationship between Virtual Social Network's Consumption and the Youth's Lifestyle

Abstract :
The aim of this study is a sociological explanation on the relationship between virtual social network's consumption and the youth's lifestyle and its factors such as leisure time, body management and the amount of consumption and the type of consumption was based on theoretical frameworks of Bourdieu, Giddens, Simmel and Engellhart. The research method is survey and a questionnaire is used in the study. A sample of 240 residents of Khlakhal city (male and female) aged 15 to 29 years old is selected through a cluster sampling technique. The results show that there is no significant relationship between virtual social networks and lifestyle in general but in details, there is a significant relationship between cultural interactions and the information exchange and lifestyle among them. There is no significant relationship between gender, marital status, virtual network users and non-users, political interactions, interactions with cultural, social and political cities and the lifestyle.
