Abstract :
Crime or deviance as a danger light shows the defects or deficiencies of society and usually has different causes and factors. This paper tries to answer this main question: What is deviant behavior? Which causes and factors generate student’s deviant behaviors? The main purpose of this study is to determine the effective social factors on female students' deviant behaviors. Hirsch’s social control theory, Sutherland’s social learning theory and Labeling theory used to achieve the hypotheses and results of this study. The method of research was surveying and the instrument for collecting data is questionnaire. Survey population is 3000 girl students in high school in Behshahr city. Sample was 300 people that obtained using cluster sampling in multiphase. For data analysis, statistical methods in descriptive and inferential levels were used (Spearman’s correlation coefficient, linear test, multivariate regression and path analysis). The results showed that the deviate acceptance (label), religious belief, association with deviant people, attachment, involvement and socio-economic status of parents as independent variables and students’ deviant behavior as dependent variable had considerable correlated. To sum up, the author could indicate the deviant behaviors among female students in Behshahr city were low. In overall, they could say that the existence of this rate of deviant behavior could be important and sensitive.
