Today, one of the important topics, which are mentioned in architecture, is the relationship between architectural works with each other and way of effect of such works on them. On the other hand, under current conditions and despite existing trends which look for their own architecture, it is crucial important to interpret how contemporary architectural works are affected by previous architectural monuments. This necessitates for a method and tool for critique and analysis and revision of contemporary architecture in relation to such architectural works and establishment of a framework for dialogue in this regard. Accordingly, the current research aims to interpret the quality of relationship among architecture in public constructions of Uzbekistan and architectural monuments from Timurid era at this country by taking intertextual approach that will finally led to review of these works and their genealogy. Accordingly, the main research question is that how architectural monuments of Timurid era in Uzbekistan affect architecture of public constructions in this country? The qualitative methodology has been employed in this study by means of multiple measures, descriptive- analytic, historical- interpretative and comparative techniques and the given statistical population includes architectural public constructions in Uzbekistan during period (1960-1990). Also among statistical population, only those samples with intertextual aspect have been selected. Review of sample and data analysis show in this survey that all samples have dealt with conversation and intertextual communication with Timurid architectural tradition by trying to compose different layers of this process. The process of developing architectural forms has greatly been changed by advances in digital technology, especially in design tools and applications. In recent years, the advent of graphical scripting languages in the design process has profoundly affected 3D modeling. Scripting languages help develop algorithms and geometrical grammar of shapes based on their constituent parameters. This study aimed to discover new concepts through the use of computer tools, especially algorithmic tools, in the form design process. The statistical population included high-rise buildings constructed worldwide in the past two decades. The main research questions include: 1) What are the main features and properties of algorithmic applications in comparison with conventional drawing applications? 2) How do algorithmic applications affect the process of devising an architectural form? In this case study, the quantitative research method was employed along with computer simulation. In addition, desk studies and the Internet references were reviewed to collect data. According to the research results, the use of graphical scripting languages as form design tools can develop a smart and generative geometrical framework. Such a smart geometrical framework can relate geometrical grammar to the mathematical relations of shapes. As a result, the changed geometrical parameters of a shape can be reflected on the other variables of dependent forms to change the primary features and specifications of the form. Moreover, changing the existing parameters can result in morphogenic forms, the development of which complies with specific principles. Manuscript profile

The spatial structure of cities has been one of the influential elements in the development of cities in different periods. In the cities of Iran, the spatial structure of cities is sometimes organic and during the lifetime of cities ,based on the requirements of the times, such as socio_social needs and their religious-religious ideology, and in many cases, this structure is based on programs and government plans of that period.Understanding the spatial structure of the city its relationship with the power and influence of power transformation on the spatial structure transformation can lead to better understanding of the factors affecting urban development, especially on the spatial structure of cities in Iran.In this article, the study of the city of Isfahan during various governorates, especially the Safavid government, has been attempted to assess the role of power in the physical organization of the city. Also, with descriptive approach and historical analysis ,based on written sources and field surveys,we seek to investigate the influence of governing power on the spatial structure of the city of Isfahan and its developmental trends during its capital city and its effects on the spatial structure of the city today. Numerous foreign architects and researchers came to Iran from European countries in the first half of the contemporary century to carry out various activities. One of these figures was André Godard, whose cultural and research activities are of special importance in terms of variety and effectiveness. The present study hence aims to discuss the cultural and historical backgrounds that made it possible for André Godard to conduct different activities in Iran. The main objective of this study is to investigate the historical contexts and factors affecting André Godard’s activities in Iran. The research question is as follows: What historical and cultural phenomena made a distinction between André Godard’s cultural and research activities and those of other foreign architects in Iran in terms of breadth and diversity? The research theoretical foundation is based on the fact that the cultural and historical features of a country influence the activities of its architects and researchers in other counties. This was a qualitative historical study. The results showed that the frequency of historical and cultural studies on Iran with a positive attitude were higher in France compared to other European countries whose architects came to Iran during the Qajar and Pahlavi eras. In addition, the cultural policies of France in Iran were more effective than those of other foreign countries. On the other hand, no French military and political intervention in Iran as well as the optimistic views of Iranian intellectuals and politicians towards the French Revolution and liberalistic ideas there provided appropriate grounds for Godard's activities in Iran. The subject of this research is the study of the architectural features used in the architectural designs of Andre Godard. The importance of this issue is that it seems that the variety of concepts and ideas of Godard's designs is not yet sufficiently known and he is best known for some of his famous projects, such as the Museum of Ancient Iran. The purpose of this research is to recognize and study architectural concepts and ideas in Andre Godard architectural designs in Iran. The research question is what were the sources of inspiration and architectural references of Andre Godard for designing architectural spaces in Iran? The theoretical foundations of the research are based on the idea that attention to history and archeology has been important since the Renaissance, especially from the eighteenth century onwards in Europe, and from the beginning of the contemporary century in Iran and it is reflected in some architectural designs, content analysis research method has been used to examine each of Godard's architectural works and descriptive-analytical and comparative research methods have been used to compare them with Iranian buildings. The results of the research show that in the first place, after a period of research in Iran, Godard was acquainted with many different concepts and ideas in Iranian architecture and tried to use Iranian patterns in cultural projects, but in designing the campus of the University of Tehran and the building of the Faculty of Medicine, which was considered a new space in Iran and had no previous examples in Iran, he used European neoclassical architectural patterns.
