Articles must be submitted through the Online Submissions and Peer-Review System (https://sanad.iau.ir/Journal/mpmp).

The journal charges up to 3500000 IRR as publication fee and 1500000 IRR as reviewing fee.

There is no waiver policy for these charges.

The authors should upload two files:

1- A file that only included the title of manuscript and the names of authors and their e-mails and addresses as the Title Page file.

2- A file that included the manuscript title, abstract, keywords, text with all tables and figures without the names of authors and their e-mails and addresses as the manuscript main file (Without Authors Name).

All articles must be written in English. Scripts should be submitted typewritten, single-spaced in Times New Roman size 12 font and not more than 15 pages.

    -    Manuscript shall be formatted for an A4 size page.

    -    The top, left and right margins shall be 30 mm.

    -    The bottom margin shall be 25 mm.

    Article structure

    1. A)     Subdivision - numbered sections

Divide your article into clearly defined and numbered sections. Subsections should be numbered 1.1 (then 1.1.1, 1.1.2 ...), 1.2, etc. (the abstract is not included in section numbering). Any subsection may be given a brief heading. Each heading should appear on its own separate line. A bold font should be used for section headings.

    1. B)      Title:

    Essential title information:

    • A short title, not to exceed 50 letter spaces, should be included on a separate sheet, to be used as the running headline for the article. A bold font should be used for manuscript title.
    • Author names and affiliations. Please clearly indicate the given name(s) and family name(s) of each author (all in font size 12 pt) and check that all names are accurately spelled. Present the authors' affiliation addresses (all in font size 10 pt) below the names. Indicate all affiliations with a lower-case superscript letter immediately after the author's name and in front of the appropriate address. Provide the full postal address of each affiliation, including the country name and, if available, the e-mail address of each author.
    • Corresponding author. Clearly indicate who will handle correspondence at all stages of refereeing and publication, also post-publication. Ensure that the e-mail address is given and that contact details are kept up to date by the corresponding author.
    1. C)      Abstract

A nonmathematical abstract, not exceeding 200 words, is required for all papers. The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, the principal results and major conclusions.

    1. D)     Keywords

The author should provide a list of three to six key words that clearly describe the subject matter of the paper. These keywords will be used for indexing purposes.

    1. E)      Introduction

State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results.

    1. F)      Material and methods

Provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced. Methods already published should be indicated by a reference: only relevant modifications should be described.

    1. G)     Results and Discussion

Results should be clear and concise. Discussion should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them. A combined Results and Discussion section is often appropriate. Avoid extensive citations and discussion of published literature.

    1. H)     Conclusions

The main conclusions of the study may be presented in a short Conclusions section, which may stand alone or form a subsection of a Discussion or Results and Discussion section.

    1. I)        Figures and Tables

All figures and tables must be incorporated into the text (in Portrait orientation). Figures (diagrams and photographs) should be numbered consecutively using Arabic numbers. They should be placed in the text soon after the point where they are referenced. Figures should be centered in a column and should have a figure caption placed underneath. Captions should be centered in the column, in the format “Figure 1” and are in upper and lower case letters. When referring to a figure in the body of the text, the abbreviation "Figure" is used Illustrations must be submitted in digital format, with a good resolution. Table captions appear centered above the table in upper and lower case letters. When referring to a table in the text, "Table" with the proper number is used. Captions should be centered in the column, in the format “Table 1” and are in upper and lower case letters. Tables are numbered consecutively and independently of any figures. All figures and tables must be incorporated into the text (in Portrait orientation).

    1. J)       Equations and Mathematical Expressions

Equation numbers should appear in parentheses and be numbered consecutively. All equation numbers must appear on the right-hand side of the equation and should be referred to within the text. Two different types of styles can be used for equations and mathematical expressions.

    1. K)      Nomenclature and units

Follow internationally accepted rules and conventions: use the international system of units (SI). If other quantities are mentioned, give their equivalent in SI. You are urged to consult IUGS: Nomenclature for geological time scales/rock names: http://www.iugs.org/ for further information.

    1. L)       Footnotes

Footnotes should be used sparingly. Number them consecutively throughout the article. Many word processors build footnotes into the text, and this feature may be used. Should this not be the case, indicate the position of footnotes in the text and present the footnotes themselves separately at the end of the article.

    1. M)   Acknowledgements

A brief acknowledgment of not more than 50 words should be included at the end of the manuscripts, before the list of references.

    1. N)     References

References should appear in a separate Reference section at the end of the manuscripts, typed single-spaced in the order of item referred to in the next, using numerals in square brackets. It is necessary to include DOI or DOR identifiers (if any exist) at the end of the paper reference in the references list (as shown in the examples). All references should be written in English such as the following:
