The purpose of the present study was to compare marital conflicts in mothers with ADHD sons and mothers with normal children. To do this, mothers of 30 ADHD children that have been diagnosed by clinical interview and CSI-4 questionnaire, completed Marital Conflict questionnaire. The children were selected by cluster random method from Tabriz Education Administration. The control group included non-ADHD children's mothers that matched ADHD mothers group in age, family size (number of family members) and education level. The data were analyzed by MANOVA. The results showed that there are significant differences between marital conflict of ADHD and non-ADHD mothers in cooperation, sexual intercourse, child support invitation and emotional reaction dimensions. In fact, the mothers of ADHD children showed deficits in these dimensions. Therefore, these findings suggest that child ADHD symptoms have a role in some dimensions of marital conflict.
