The present study was conducted with the aim of presenting a model of the development of money-making geography in the Iranian basketball sport. The present research method was of mixed type. The statistical sample of the qualitative part included experts who are knowledgeable about the subject, and in order to identify these samples, the purposeful sampling method was used. This sampling continued until theoretical saturation was reached and finally 13 people were identified as samples in the qualitative section. Also, the statistical community in the quantitative part included university professors who are knowledgeable about the subject of research, managers and experts of the Iranian Basketball Federation, as well as some managers of professional basketball clubs. A semi-structured questionnaire and a researcher-made questionnaire were used to collect data. In order to analyze the data of the current research, coding and structural equation test were used. The whole process of data analysis was done in SPSS version 20, PLS version 2 and Maxqda version 2018 software. The results of this research showed that scientific, legal-legal, technical, human, political and promotional variables as background conditions play an important and key role in the development of money-making geography in Iran's basketball sport. The results of the research also showed that the development of money-making geography in Iran's basketball sport has sports, career and financial consequences. According to the results of the research model, it was determined that all the relationships in the model have a significant t coefficient (t higher than 1.96), which indicates the significance of the influence between the relationships. Paying attention to interactions between national and international sectors in the process of promoting basketball and attracting investors, as well as creating insurance support for commercial activities in basketball can play an important role in the development of the geography of money-making in basketball in Iran.
