The purpose of this research was analyzing factors affecting non-participation of stakeholders in rangeland management projects. The research method was descriptive-correlative design in ranches of Piranshahr rangelands in western Azerbaijan province, Iran. All ranches that studied (Zioke Yurd, Ziuke Mirgah Chaku, Khargedashan Yurd and Gardeh Bon), are utilized in common use manner. Simple random sampling was used as sampling method. The sample size was determined by using Krejcie and Morgan table. The 157 stakeholders were determined. Questionnaire served as research tool and was completed through direct interviews with stakeholders. The findings showed significant correlation between age and non-participation of stakeholders. Also prioritization of non-participation of stakeholders in range management plans indicate that low literacy (education level) and lack of sufficient knowledge about the range management project, lack of programs and restoration of projects fitness to regional conditions and small area were the most important social, managerial, technical and economic factors affect the non-participation of stakeholders in the range management projects. This study was on the analysis of livestock waste management practices among rural farmers in Abia State, Nigeria. A multi-stage sampling procedure was employed to select the 60 respondents for the study. Primary data used the study were collected using well-structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistical tools such as frequency counts, percentages, means, and multinomial logit regression were used in data analysis. Result showed that the mean age of the livestock farmers was 34.3 years and the average household size was 6 persons per household. The average years of educational attainment was 9 years and the livestock farmers have on the average spent 8 years in the business. The average distance to livestock farm from residential dwelling was 0.4km. The average number of livestock reared was 111, while the average monthly expenditure on water was N1470.80. The average cost of waste management per month was N2195.80 and the average monthly net return from the livestock business was N27400. The significant determinants of use of waste management systems were distance from livestock farms to residential quarters, number of livestock reared, frequency of visitation of livestock sanitation officers, number of farm labour, and the quantity of faecal material generated. The major benefits from livestock waste management were environmental sustainability, reduced cost of fertilizer, increased in income, reduced cost of agrochemicals, reduced incidence of pests, increased productivity, and biogas production. Strict enforcement by supervisory agencies of the existing sanitation/health policies aimed at environmental preservation and protection was recommended so as to ensure environmental sustainability. This research was conducted with the mean goal of identifying environmental protection solutions in Naghadeh Township. The statistical population of this research included all employees of the Agricultural Jihad, Environment and Natural Resources Office (N=110). Karaghi and Morgan tables were used to determine the sample size (n=86). The Random sampling method was used in this research. To determine the reliability of the questionnaire, Cronbach's alpha was used (α=0.894) which indicates that the reliability of the questionnaire was appropriate. To analyze the findings and to achieve the research goals, descriptive statistics and inferential or analytical statistics were used. The results show that awareness raising among people to improve their relationship with the environment and the promotion of environmental culture and the definition of environmental guidelines among people and prevention of destruction of land and its change and destruction of rangelands and forests were identified as the most important effective environmental protection solutions in Naghadeh township in west Azerbaijan province. Exploratory factor analysis was used to categorize effective environmental protection solutions. The results showed that seven factors were identified. These factors named as legal, socio-cultural, educational and awareness, managerial, economical, and environmental solutions. These seven factors account 74 percent of variations in environmental protection solutions. Manuscript profile

Thestudy examined the factors influencing farm record keeping among small scale poultry farmers in zone A axis of the Kogi ADP comprising of -Yagba- East, Yagba-West, Kabba-Bunnu, Ijumu, and Mopamuro Local Government Areas. Using a three stage random sampling technique, 120 poultry farmers spread across the 5 LGAs within the zone A of Kogi ADP in Kogi State were randomly selected. With the aid of binary Logistic regression model, data obtained was analyzed. Nine (9) variables were hypothesized to influence small scale poultry farmer’s probability of record keeping. Out of which six (6) education, marital status, flock size, extension contact, occupation and experience were significant at 1%, 1%, 5%, 5%, 10% and 10% levels of significant respectively. They were also positively signed, a phenomenon which indicate that those variables were found to influence the probability of poultry farmers to use record keeping in the study area. However, extension contact was not significant at the level of measurement. It is therefore recommended that education at all levels and in all its forms and packages, both formal and informal should be encouraged in order to stem up the ante of the poultry farmers’ knowledge base, especially in the aspect of poultry record keeping. The general purpose of this descriptive-correlation study is to analysis the effective components on participation of villagers in implementation of watershed management projects in Mahabad Dam watershed. The data collection tool was a questionnaire. Validity and reliability of the questionnaire were confirmed. The statistical population of this study is supervisors of rural households that living in Mahabad catchment area (N = 2458). By using the Cochran formula 175 people were selected as simple size and randomized cluster sampling use as statistical sample method. The results of pearson correlation coefficient showed that there is a positive and significant relationship found between the viewpoint of respondents about participation in water management projects and economic, socio-cultural, managerial, official, educational and ecological components. Therefore, it can be stated that according to the content of each component, effective measures should be taken to strengthen each component and attract the participation of villagers in the implementation of watershed management projects. Also the amount of determination coefficient indicates that about 74.1 percent in the participation in the implementation of water management projects could determined by economic, socio-cultural, educational, managerial, official and ecological components Manuscript profile

Cooperative organizations play an important role in improves the quality of work, especially in agricultural sector. The main purpose of this research was to determining the effective factors on the effectiveness of agricultural mechanization cooperatives (EAMC) in the Mahabad township that located in west Azerbaijan province. The research population included farmers that member agricultural cooperatives in Mahabad township in the West Azerbaijan Provinces (N = 18758). By using Cochrane formula sample size was determined as 215 people. The data collection tool was the questionnaire. Reliability coefficient of the questionnaire was obtained by Cronbach's alpha that was 0.769. Results showed that factors influencing the effectiveness on agricultural mechanization cooperatives (EAMC) include management, economic, social, policy-making and educational factors. Also finding of confirmatory factor analysis by lisrel shows that the highest value of R2 = 0.72 was related to the policy making factor and the lowest value of R2 = 0.42 was related to economical factor.
