Investigating the water quality of Dez River in Dezful city

Abstract :
Dez river is one of the major rivers of Khuzestan province and water of this river is used for agriculture in the surrounding villages. In this study, temporal and spatial changes of water quality parameters in Dez River period of 2021-2022 were analyzed and studied using quality standards and Excel and SPSS software. Water quality parameters temperature, TDS and turbidity were sampled and measured. First, water quality parameters of Dez River were sampled and measured in six stations of the forest park, the fourth bridge, Ali Kale, the third bridge, the old bridge and the fifth bridge, including T, TDS and turbidity. Dez river`s major pollution are thay are form domestic wastewater which are entered directly by the residents along the river, or collected by the city canals, then at a point enters into the river. According to the observational results T in the studied period, there is no risk to aquatic life, for the permissible limits of the quality of TDS parameters during the sampling period, it does not threaten any restrictions in the study area of the Dez River in terms of agriculture. Crisis conditions of the Dez River The low flow and high load of pollutants cause increased the concentration of water quality parameters in the downstream. According to the results of the ANOWA test, the average parameters of TDS, turbidity in the study stations are significant, p>0.05. But for the temperature parameters, there is no significant difference between the stations (p<0.05).
