        ‎The problem of two-phase MHD boundary layer flow, heat and mass transfer over a stretching sheet with fluid-particle suspension and thermal radiation has been studied. The effect of mass transfer in dusty fluid over a stretching sheet is considered for the first time. The governing equations are reduced to a set of non-linear ordinary differential equations under suitable similarity transformations. The transformed equations are then solved numerically. The influence of various physical parameters such as magnetic parameter, fluid-particle interaction parameters, Prandtl number, Eckert number and thermal radiation parameter on velocity, temperature and concentration of both fluid and particle phase is analyzed. The numerical results of the present investigation were compared with previously published results and found to be an excellent agreement. It is found that, the momentum, thermal and solute boundary layer thickness of both fluid and dust phase are reduced for higher values of mass concentration of suspended dust ‎particles. پرونده مقاله

        In this paper, we have considered the problem of rotating, magnetohydrodynamic heat and mass transfer by free convective flow past an exponentially accelerated isothermal vertical plate in the presence of variable mass diffusion. While the temperature of the plate is constant, the concentration at the plate is considered to be a linear function with respect to time t. The plate is assumed to be exponentially accelerated with a prescribed velocity against the gravitational field. The governing equations are solved by using Laplace transform technique and the effect of various physical parameters on the flow quantities are studied through graphs and the results are discussed. With the aid of the velocity, temperature and concentration fields the expressions for skin friction, rate of heat transfer in the form of Nusselt number and rate of mass transfer in the form of Sherwood number are derived and the results are discussed with the help of ‎tables. پرونده مقاله

        Since the energy analysis considers the quantity of energy, it cannot show the performance of the cooling tower. Therefore, in order to optimize the performance of the tower and also the process which the cooling tower is a part of it, it is necessary to analyze the energy and exergy of the tower simultaneously. In this paper, the energy and exergy of one of the cooling towers of Khuzestan Steel Co. is analyzed in order to improve the function of this unit and its effect on the related units. Moreover, the exergy of water and air which exchange heat with each other has also been studied. The mathematical model presented in this paper has been based on the principle of heat and mass transfer between water and air. The results of this study show that water makes more exergy than air because the system generates entropy. The results also show that the exergy of water decreases constantly from the upper part of the tower to its lower part, the exergy of air, however increases from bottom to top along the tower. When the temperature decreases water loses exergy but when the temperature is increased the air gains exergy. پرونده مقاله

        Pollution occurs when the concentration of various chemical or biological constituents exceed a level implying negative impact on amenities, the eco-system, resources and human health. Oil spills are the serious environmental hazards which often exhibit long-term impacts. The main objective of response to an oil spill is to reduce its impact on nature and human health. This paper allows us to get a comprehensive idea of the oil spill impact in the presence of thermal and concentration buoyancy effects. The governing equations and their associated boundary conditions are first cast into dimensionless form and the resulting equations are then solved analytically using perturbation technique. The effect of various physical parameters such as Grashof number, Prandtl number, Schmidt number and chemical reaction parameter on the velocity, temperature and concentration profile as well as surface skin friction, heat and mass transfer coefficients are discussed in detail with the help of graphs. پرونده مقاله
