  از نظر تقسیمات زمین شناختی، منطقة مورد مطالعه در کمربند چین خورده راندة زاگرس قرار دارد . در اینمطالعه از روش های کمی و کیفی ریخت زمین ساخت و زمی نشناسی ساختمانی به همراه یکدیگر استفاده شدهاست. عکس های هوایی، تصاویر ماهوار های، نقشه های زمین شناسی و نقشه های توپوگرافی مطالعه و تفسیر شده اندبر اساس روش های کمی و کیفی مورفوتکتونیکی (شاخص های ریخت سنجی ، درصد رخدار شدن پیشانی کوهستان، پیچ و خم پیشانی کوهستان، نسبت V و نسبت پهنای کف دره به ارتفاع آن ) و زمین ساختی (تهیه نقشه های خطوط هم پایه، خط واره ها؛ هم تعدادشکستگی ،(Isofracture) چگالی خط واره، چگالی تقاطع خط واره) در محدوده مورد مطالعه، حاکی از عملکرد تکتونیک جنبا و تشکیل ساختارهای مورفوتکتونیکی ویژه ای همچوندره های خطی، آبراه ه های منحرف شده، پرتگا ههای گسله، چشمه های آب، آبرفت های بادبزنی و حوضه های آبراهه های کشیده می باشد. این تاقدیس همچنین دچار یک دگر شکلی (به شکل Z ) گشته است که علت بروز چنین تغییر شکل را شاید بتوان ناشی از گذر یک گسل پی سنگی با امتدادی شمالی جنوبی از زیر این تاقدیس دانست .این گسل می تواند موجب تغییر شکل تاقدیس و بروز ناهنجاری در آبراهه ها، وضعیت تن شها، خط واره ها و ... شدهباشد. وجود یک گنبد نمکی در زیر این تاقدیس نیز می تواند در بروز این تغییر شکل نقش مؤثری داشته باشد. پرونده مقاله

  The Kordkanlo Basin, one of the Atrak sub-basins, located in the northeastern of the Ghoochan city, the Khorasan Razavi Province; is situated in Kopet Dagh geologic zone. The overall objective of this study is to evaluate the morphotectonic effects on the drainage network of the basin, using morphometric indicators. In this research, morphometric quantitative indicators of hypsometric integral (H), the ratio of the valley area to the an area of half-circle with a radius equal to the valley depth (V), the ratio of the width of valley floor to a height of the river (VF), asymmetry factor (AF), the river’s length gradient index (SL), transverse topography symmetry factor (T) and index of mountain front sinuosity (SMF), the basin shape index (BS) and the index of (Lat) have been used. This purpose tries to identify the role of change in lithological and tectonic agents on the Kordkanlo river basin using topographic maps, digital elevation model (DEM) and the information obtained in the field survey. In this context, ArcGIS software has been used for determining geomorphic indicators to determine the tectonic characteristics of the basin. Finally, index values were evaluated by the lat index.
