2-(3- indolyl) 4,5 di phynyl imidazole.(IDPI) was used as a complexing agent in cloud point extraction for the first time and applied for selective pre-concentration of trace amounts of cadmium. The method is based on the extraction of cadmium at pH= 7.0 by using non-ionic surfactant Triton-X114 and 2-(3- indolyl) 4,5 di phynyl imidazole. (IDPI) as a chelating agent. The adopted concentrations for IDPI, Triton X-114 and HNO3, bath temperature were optimized, The response are linear over concentration range of 8.0-90 (ng mL-1) for Cd2+ and RSD % (n =5) 1.8 for Cd2+, Detection limits (3SDb/m, n =10, m = slope of calibration) of 2.8 (ng.mL-1) for Cd2+ respectively. The enrichment factors was 33 for Cd2+. the preconcentration factors was 39 for Cd2+ respectively. The high efficiency of cloud point extraction to carry out the determination of analytes in complex matrices was demonstrated. The proposed method was successfully applied to the ultra-trace determination of cadmium in real and water samples. پرونده مقاله

Cloud point extraction (CPE) as a rapid, simple and efficient method coupled with high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used for sample preparation and subsequent determination of carbazole, trinitrocarbazole (TrNC) and tetra nitro carbazole (TNC) in water samples. Some effective parameters on extraction, such as volume of Triton X-100, extraction time, extraction temperature, ionic strength and centrifuging time were studied and optimized. Under the optimum conditions, recoveries of analytes were in the range of 98.0–102.0%. The calibration curve was linear in the range of 0.08 to 15.0 μg mL−1 for TNC, 0.06 to 15.2 μg mL−1 for TrNC, and 0.08–21.0 μg mL−1 for carbazole. Limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) were in the range of 0.009 -0.01 and 0.06-0.08μg mL−1, respectively. The relative standard deviations (RSDs) were in the range of 4.0- 6.2 %. The obtained results show that CPE with a high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is a sensitive and simple method for the determination of carbazole, TrNC and TNC in water samples. پرونده مقاله

A simple and sensitive method is described for the pre-concentration by cloud point extraction followed by atomic absorption spectrometric determination of copper ion in real samples. At a solution pH of 5.5, 5, 5-diphenylimidazolidine-2, 4-dione (phenytoin) (DFID) and TritonX-114 were used as hydrophobic ligand and non-ionic surfactant. The adopted concentrations for DFID, Triton X-114 and HNO3, bath temperature, centrifuge rate and time were optimized. Detection limits (3SDb/m) of 1.7 ng mL-1 along with enrichment factors of 35 for these ions were achieved. The proposed procedure was applied to the analysis of real samples. پرونده مقاله

Pb and Cd in water samples were determined by cloud point extraction (CPE) with sodiumdiethyldithiocarbamate (DDTC) as the chelating agent and octylphenoxypolyethanl (Triton X-114) asthe surfactant prior to flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) determination. The چکیده کامل
The main factorsof affecting the extraction and detection processes were optimized. The preconcentration of 10 mL ofstandard solutions gave enhancement factors of 35 and 75 and the detection limits of 9.41 and 0.40ng mL-1 for Pb and Cd, respectively. The proposed method was applied satisfactorily to thedetermination of Pb and Cd in seawater and lake water. Good agreement was obtained between theadded and measured analyte amounts through the recovery of experiments. پرونده مقاله

A cloud point extraction process using the nonionic surfactant Triton X-114 to extracturanium from aqueous solutions was investigated. The method is based on the complexationreaction of uranium with Arsenazo III and micelle-mediated extraction of the complex. Theoptimal extraction and reaction conditions (e.g., pH, reagent concentration, effect of time) werestudied, and the analytical characteristics of the method (e.g., limit of detection, linear range)were obtained. Linearity was obeyed in the range of 1.0-150.0 ng mL-1 of U(IV) ion. Thedetection limit of the method was 0.3 ng mL-1 of uranium ion. The interference effect of someanions and cations was also tested. The method was applied to the determination of uranium inwater samples. پرونده مقاله

A new approach for a cloud point extraction-electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometric method was used for determining bismuth. The aqueous analyte was acidified with sulfuric acid (pH 3.0–3.5). Triton X-114 was added as a surfactant and 2-amino-cyclopentene-1-dithiocarboxylic acid was used as a complexing agent. After phase separation at 50 â—¦C based on the cloud point separation of the mixture, the surfactant-rich phasen was diluted using tetrahydrofuran (THF). Twenty microliters (20 μL) of the enriched solution and 10 µl of 0.1% (w/v) Pd (NO3)2 as chemical modifier were dispersed into the graphite tube and the analyte was determined by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry. After optimizing extraction conditions and instrumental parameters, a preconcentration factor of 195 was obtained for a sample of only 10 mL. The detection limit was 0.04 ng ml−1 and the analytical curve was linear for the concentration range of 0.04–0.70 ng mL−1. Relative standard deviations were <5%. The method was successfully applied for the extraction and determination of bismuth in water samples.  پرونده مقاله
