روش پژوهش، به دو شیوة میدانی و کتاب‌خانه‌ای است. در شیوة میدانی، اگرچه نگارنده، خود، گویش‌ورِ این گویش است، برای اطمینان از صحت تلفظ واژه‌ها، آن‌ها را در گفت‌و‌گو با افراد سالخورده و بی‌سواد، بازخوانی و ثبت کرده و در شیوة کتاب‌خانه‌ای، با مراجعه به منابع اصلی و معتبر، این کار را به‌سامان رسانده است
Etymology is the study of the forms and meaning of the words on the basis of historical background. Fourteen words of Lori dialect in Buyer Ahmad area are studied in this article. The methodology of this study is at library and the speakers of the dialect. To insure of the correct pronunciation of the old people in the area are considered and then the reference books are the main sources to find correct pronunciations.
