The purpose of this research was to provide a framework for the development of financial resources for professional sports in Iran. Therefore, the present research presents a framework for the development of financial resources of sports federations and clubs using a qualitative approach and semi-structured interviews. The statistical population of the research included all the managers of federations, managing directors, members of the board of directors and the board of directors of sports federations and clubs. 17 members of Iranian sports federations and clubs participated in this study to investigate the dimensions of the development of financial resources in Iran's professional sports. The analysis of the research data and coding was done using a three-step method (open, central and selective coding). In this research, it was found that various factors such as planning, organizational structure and capabilities, management stability, governance, media, removing legal and legal obstacles, economic and commercial, job creation, strategic alliance, financial support, transfers, the network for the development of financial resources, the development of financial platforms and the covering of costs may help the development of financial resources in professional sports in Iran. According to the findings of the present research, it can be said that these dimensions, when combined in a collective approach, can develop the financial resources of sports federations and clubs.
