Meaning in life is one of the most important variables related to psychological and mental well-being. This study aimed to investigate the relationships between self-concept clarity, intolerance of uncertainty, and religious identity with meaning in life. The research employed a descriptive correlational design. The statistical population consisted of all students at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (about 25,000 students). Based on the Krejcie and Morgan table, a sample of 379 students (240 females and 139 males) was selected using the convenience sampling method. Data were collected using the Self-Concept Clarity Scale (Campbell et al., 1996), the Meaning in Life Questionnaire (Steger et al., 2006), the Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale (Freeston et al., 1994), and the Religious Identity Questionnaire (Khoshavi, 2011). Data were analyzed through Pearson correlation and regression analyses. The results indicated significant positive relationships between self-concept clarity, intolerance of uncertainty, and religious identity with meaning in life. Moreover, regression results showed that these variables could significantly predict meaning in life. Therefore, considering the predictive roles of self-concept clarity, religious identity, and intolerance of uncertainty, addressing these factors seems essential for enhancing individuals’ sense of meaning in life.
