چکیده مقاله :
Considering the growth of the country's population and the consequent growth of the student population, the construction of sports spaces has been considered as one of the effective factors in education based on scientific criteria. Therefore, it is necessary and essential to formulate scientific and technical principles, rules, and standards for the construction of such spaces. The purpose of the present study is to investigate and compare the health status of sports spaces in secondary schools in Mashhad city and to provide appropriate solutions. In this descriptive-survey study conducted in 2010-2011, the research population consisted of all regular-government high schools in Mashhad. The research sample included 41 high schools that were randomly selected from three classes: disadvantaged, semi-advantaged, and affluent. The research tool included a special checklist for the hygiene of outdoor sports spaces. There is a significant difference between the health status of outdoor sports spaces in schools in different regions (P-value = 0.00).Considering that 14% of school outdoor sports spaces have low hygiene and 86% have high hygiene, and the average hygiene score of outdoor sports spaces is 24.3 (above average), we conclude that the hygiene status of outdoor sports spaces in all regular government high schools in Mashhad is high, both in terms of frequency and average.Upon further investigation, Tukey's test shows that underprivileged areas are different from semi-privileged and wealthy areas and have lower health.
