چکیده مقاله :
دوگانههای «نظم» و «آشوب» کارکردی کلیدی در تولید معنا و تفسیر فرهنگ در نشانهشناسی فرهنگی دارند. نشانهشناسی فرهنگی، فرهنگ و قلمرو آن را، متنی سرشار از نشانه میداند که از طریق این نشانهها میتوان سازوکار و عملکرد آن فرهنگ را بررسی کرد. مفاهیم نظم و آشوب در «بندهش» به عنوان متنی اسطورهای ـ دینی، نقشی ساختاری در سازوکار خلقت، توصیف جهان و جایگاه انسان دارد. نظم در بندهش که از آن به عنوان آفرینش هرمزدی یاد میشود به مشابۀ نظام نشانهای به جهان، معنا میبخشد. از سوی دیگر آشوب اهریمنی و رویارویی او با هرمزد به عنوان یک نظام نشانهای در تقابل با نظم، قرار دارد. تعامل نظم به عنوان عنصر ایجابی و سازنده با آشوب که عنصری سلبی و ویرانگر است به تولید معنا و خلق مفاهیم پیچیده میانجامد. این پژوهش با روش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی و با تکیه بر مطالعات کتابخانهای به خوانش نقش محوری این دو نیروی متضاد به عنوان نمادهایی از نظم و آشوب در اساطیر و تفکّر فرهنگ ایران باستان میپردازد. نتایج این پژوهش نشان میدهد که آفرینش جهان در اساطیر یونانی، بابلی، شمال اروپا و اقوام آمریکایی بر ساختار آشوب بنا شده، اما در اساطیر مزدایی و در بندهش، آفرینش برپایه نظم نهاده شده و آشوب، عارض بر نظم است.
The binary opposition of “order” and “chaos” plays a pivotal role in the production of meaning and the interpretation of culture in cultural semiotics. Cultural semiotics regards culture and its domain as a text saturated with signs, through which the mechanisms and functions of that culture may be examined. In the Bundahishn, as a mythological–religious text, the concepts of order and chaos occupy a structural position in explaining the mechanism of creation, the configuration of the world, and the place of humankind. Order in the Bundahishn—identified as Hormazd’s creation—functions as a semiotic system that bestows meaning upon the world. Conversely, Ahrimanian chaos and his confrontation with Hormazd constitute a semiotic system that stands in opposition to order. The interaction between order, as a constructive and affirmative element, and chaos, as a destructive and negating one, results in the production of meaning and the emergence of complex conceptual structures. Employing a descriptive–analytical method and relying on library-based research, this study examines the central role of these two opposing forces as symbolic representations of order and chaos in the mythology and cultural thought of ancient Iran. The findings indicate that, whereas the creation of the world in Greek, Babylonian, Northern European, and the mythologies of the peoples of the Americas is founded upon a primordial structure of chaos, in Mazdean mythology and the Bundahishn, creation rests upon order, with chaos appearing as an intrusion upon that order.
