چکیده مقاله :
Introduction: During the last two decades, the rate of diagnosing coeliac disease in Iran has increased significantly. The present study aims to describe the life experiences with coeliac disease among the patients referred to the Iranian Coeliac Society in 2017. Method: In the present descriptive phenomenology, the participants were 19 patients with coeliac disease referred to the Iranian Coeliac Society, who were selected by purposeful method. The data were collected through in-depth interviews at the coeliac center. The average duration of each interview was 45 minutes. The sampling process continued until the data saturation is achieved. The Colaizzi method was used to analyze the data. The codes were validated through a review by two participants and two experts. In-depth interviews, field notes, descriptions and recording all details at all stages of the research were used to increase data reliability. All of their conversations were recorded in the interview for confirmation. To increase data transferability, the results of the study were provided to three individuals who had similar status and characteristics to the study participants, although they did not participate in the study to judge the similarity of the results with their experiences. In addition, attempts were made to collect data and interviews accurately through appropriate samples based on age, gender, and duration of disease. Conclusion: Since the findings help nurses understand the life experiences of coeliac patients, nurses can provide nursing care appropriate to their needs through the results of this research.
