Study on effect of planting date and plant density on yield and yield components in irrigated pea cv. Azad in Kerman, Iran

In order to determine effects of planting date and plant density on yield and yield components of irrigated common Pea, cultivar Azad in Kerman city, this experiment was conducted in Kerman Agricultural and Natural Resources Research farm, in 2011-2012. Three planting dates (Feb. 15, Dec. 27, Jan. 6) and 3 plant densities (22, 33, 66 (plants/m2 )) as factori[1]al plots, were studied using RCBD. Results show that delaying in planting date decreased number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, and seed yield, significantly. Increasing plant density decreased number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod but increased seed yield, significantly. The highest yield (2785.6 (kg/ha)) was harvested in first planting date and 66 plants per square meter. It seems that delay in planting decreased growth period and consequently decreased the stored materials in Pea plant and in the other hand coincided reproductive phase with warmth of spring season that decreased flower fertilization and thus increased pod hollowness and decreased seed yield. Increase in plant density decreased yield components but increased seed yield due to more plants per square meter. Increase in seed yield due to increase in plant density is limited, because increase in plant density more than 66 (plant/m2 ) increases inner and outer plant competition that would results in less yield

به منظور تعیین تأثیر تاریخ کاشت و تراکم بوته بر عملکرد و اجزای عملکرد نخود معمولی آبی رقم آزاد در شهرستان کرمان، این آزمایش در سال 91-1390 در مزرعه تحقیقاتی کشاورزی و منابع طبیعی کرمان انجام شد. سه تاریخ کاشت (15 فوریه، 27 دسامبر، 6 ژانویه) و 3 تراکم بوته (22، 33، 66 (بوته در متر مربع)) به عنوان کرت های فاکتوریل، با استفاده از RCBD مورد مطالعه قرار گرفتند. نتایج نشان می دهد که تاخیر در تاریخ کاشت باعث کاهش معنی دار تعداد غلاف در بوته، تعداد دانه در غلاف و عملکرد دانه شد. افزایش تراکم بوته باعث کاهش تعداد غلاف در بوته، تعداد دانه در غلاف و افزایش معنی‌دار عملکرد دانه شد. بیشترین عملکرد (6/2785 کیلوگرم در هکتار) در تاریخ کاشت اول و 66 بوته در متر مربع برداشت شد. به نظر می رسد تاخیر در کاشت باعث کاهش دوره رشد و در نتیجه کاهش مواد ذخیره شده در گیاه نخود و از طرفی همزمان با فاز زایشی با گرمای فصل بهار شد که باعث کاهش کوددهی گل و در نتیجه افزایش توخالی غلاف و کاهش عملکرد دانه شد. افزایش تراکم بوته باعث کاهش اجزای عملکرد و افزایش عملکرد دانه به دلیل تعداد بوته در متر مربع شد. افزایش عملکرد دانه به دلیل افزایش تراکم بوته محدود است، زیرا افزایش تراکم بوته بیش از 66 (بوته در متر مربع) رقابت درونی و بیرونی بوته را افزایش می دهد که منجر به عملکرد کمتر می شود.
