In this research, the efficiency of water consumption with two performance indicators per unit of water consumption (CPD) and gross income per unit of water consumption for the crops of the existing cultivation pattern of the Gatund irrigation network in the north of Khuzestan province, using the actual data of the cultivation pattern and with the estimation of water requirement in four different scenarios to achieve irrigation efficiency was investigated. The results showed that the highest value of CPD index was related to carrot and sugar beet products. The lowest CPD values were obtained for sesame and sunflower products. Also, the highest amount of BPD index was assigned to strawberry and okra products, respectively. The lowest BPD values were attributed to olive and sunflower products, respectively. Also, the average CPD index of Gatond irrigation network for the scenarios of achieving irrigation efficiency of 30, 35, 42 and 54% was obtained as 0.92, 1.08, 1.44, and 1.85 kg per cubic meter of water, respectively. The average values of BPD index of Gatund irrigation network for the scenarios of achieving irrigation efficiency of 30, 35, 42 and 54% were 34,699, 40,482, 53,326 and 68,563 rials per cubic meter of consumed water, respectively. According to the available data, the average amount of income per surface unit for the cultivation pattern of the region was equal to 451.6 million rials per hectare.
