The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of e-learning courses in Tarbiat Modares University from the users’ perspectives. The method of this research was descriptive survey. The statistical population included all the graduate students (MA level) in Tarbiat Modares University. The sample including 66 student were selected by non-random (purposive) sampling method from among IT, ICT, private law, international law, and system management majors. To gather data, a researcher-made questionnaire having 53 multiple-choice items was used. Its reliability was estimated 0/96 based on Cronbach Alpha Coefficient, and its validity was confirmed by the related experts. The results showed that users had desirable access to e-learning system, benefited from appropriate sources, suitable tests and evaluation, and appropriate presentation or instruction. However, they did not receive appropriate e_learning contents such as exercises and assignment, and also did not benefit from proper user interface.  Manuscript profile

The purpose of the research was to study the effect of ICT on improving learning in geography and science courses. The research method was a semi-experimental one with two groups of students in which pretest and posttest were used. The statistical population of the research included 48963 students, that is, all the elementary girl students in Sari in 2011-2012 academic year. From among the schools equipped with ICT, two schools, and in each of them two classes (grade five) were chosen as experimental and control groups through simple random sampling method. After performing the pre-test, the experimental and control groups were taught in 8 sessions through ICT and traditional methods respectively. Finally, both groups were tested through the same achievement test which was considered as a post-test. Also, achievement tests confirmed by related educational groups were used for gathering the data and the gathered data were analyzed through Co-Variance analysis test. The results showed that ICT had positive impact on improving geography and science learning. Manuscript profile

One of the main subsidiaries of entrepreneurship is an entrepreneurial organization that has contributed to the success and excellence of organizations. Many organizations policies that are formulated for the development of entrepreneurship are associated with information technology. On the other hand, entrepreneurial efforts in organization together with intellectual capital become more effective and can enhance competitive advantages and increase the company's overall performance. The aim of this study was to examine the impact of information technology and intellectual capital on the entrepreneurial organization. In terms of the purpose, it was an applied research, and in terms of methodology, it was a descriptive-survey one. The statistical sample included 172 employees in the Sobhan Oncology. Of them, 119 employees were selected randomly through Cochran formula. For data collection, Mortinz et al. questionnaire (2004) for measuring information technology, Bontis intellectual capital questionnaire (1998) and entrepreneurial organization questionnaire were used. Results analyzed by SMART-PLS software showed that information technology had significant affect an intellectual capital, intellectual capital had an adverse effect on entrepreneurial organization. However, information technology had significant and moderate effect on entrepreneurial organization. In addition, information technology as a moderating variable can increase positive effect of intellectual capital on entrepreneurial organization.  Manuscript profile

The main objective of this research was the study of the effect of electronic learning on developing personality aspects of pre-university in Babol students. The method of this research was quasi experimental including a pretest and post test with a control group. The statistical population of this research included 2823 students, that is, all the male and female pre university students in Babol in 2010-2011, academic year. 92 students were selected as the sampling group by cluster sampling method. The means of data collection was questionnaire. In this research, the experimental group was taught through Power Point, computer, education software and electronic media and the control group was taught without these tools. For The analysis of obtained data of pretest and post tests scores, an independent t test was used. The results of data analysis of pretest showed that there was no significant difference between control and experimental group but the analysis of obtained data of post test showed that there was significant difference between the two groups: students of experimental group had more psychological, social and cognitive and moral development than the control group. The purpose of the research was to study the relationship between digital divide and computer anxiety in university students. The research method was a descriptive-correlation one. Statistical sample included 373 university students at both B.A. and M.A. levels in Sari Islamic Azad University selected from human science, technical, engineering and medical science majors. Sampling was done in a random-classified way. Two questionnaires were used for gathering the data, one for measuring digital divide and the other was used to assess the amount of computer anxiety. Data analysis was done through SPSS software along with statistical methods such as Pearson correlation coefficient, two independent groups t-test, Variance analysis, Duncan’s Post Hoc test, and Regression. Results showed that there was a significant reverse relationship between computer anxiety and the availability of information and communication technology, skill in using internet and computer, the amount of using internet and computer and attitude toward internet. Digital divide was different among various groups of students depending on their gender and major, but no difference was observed based on their age and educational level. In addition, digital divide had the predictive power over computer anxiety. Manuscript profile

Many researches had done regarding the effects of video and computer games on aggressive feelings and behaviours which showed disparate results. Therefore, the purpose of the present research is to examine the meta-analysis effect of violent and non-violent games on aggressive feelings and behaviours. The statistical population included all researches related publish in English and Persian done from 2002 up to 2012. The sampling method was a targeted one to make the required comparisons possible for answering research questions. That is, the comparison of the degree of effect between experimental and non-experimental researches, between violent and non-violent games and to study the effect of increasing the amount of time of computer games on the degree of aggression. Having evaluated the accuracy and strength of researches by consulting three judges, 30 researches were selected for final study. Researches were classified into experimental and non-experimental ones, and the games were also divided into violent and non-violent ones. The results showed that the degree of effect for three variables was 0/21 for aggressive behaviour, 0/23 for aggressive feelings, and 0/29 for biological arousal. By comparing experimental with non-experimental researches, the obtained degree of effect was meaningful. That is, experimental researches showed more effect degree. By increasing the duration of game, the effect degree reduced in all three mentioned dependent variable, and the amount of effect degree was more in violent games than non-violent ones. The main purpose of the present study was to acknowledge the effect of information technology training on the productivity of the employee of Sari Islamic Azad University. The research methodology of this descriptive research was of survey in a population of 836 subjects that using Krejcie and Morgan table, 300 subjects were chosen based on random sampling. The data collection tool being utilized in this study was a multiple-choice questionnaire devised by the researcher whose reliability was calculated 0/93 based on Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The gathered data was analyzed based on descriptive statistics (including frequencies, mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (including single-sample t test, multivariable analysis of variance, Scheffe post hoc test). The study concluded that information technology training has a significant effect on employee's productivity. Furthermore, the results of the study noted that there was a significant difference about the influence of information technology training on the employee's productivity based on their job experience and field of study but in case of the education certificate there was noted no significant difference. The aim of the present research was studying the effect of combining problem-based learning with information and communication technology on the development of content knowledge and pedagogical skills of student-teachers of teacher training center. All student-teachers of Shahid Bahonar Teacher Training Center of Hamadan province in 2011 were selected as population of the research, and of them, two groups of primary education major were chosen as the sample. The methodology of the present research was quasi-experimental, and the pretest-posttest design with control group was employed. In the control group, a program was generated by the teacher-trainer using Power Point software, and through that program, the student-teachers were taught how to teach mathematical concepts using problem solving and discovery learning methods. In the experimental group, after collecting information and devising their plan based on problem solving and discovery learning methods, the student-teachers were required to teach mathematical concepts in Power Point environment. In fact, the issue they were dealing with was how to design a dynamic program by means of which their students were enabled to discover concepts. The procedure of carrying out the research lasted for two weeks. So, after performing the research, both groups were given theory and practice tests in the fields of content knowledge and pedagogical skills. The analysis of the results of two tests (theory and practice) by means of independent-sample t test showed that knowledge and skill performance of student-teachers who had combined problem-based learning with ICT in order to solve the problem was better than the group who had merely employed the ICT.
