        The aim of the study was to compare problem solving styles and self-efficacy beliefs among sample and common high-school students in Shabestar Township in 2011-2012. The research method was descriptive-survey. The statistical population was all the students in both kinds of high-school, which added to 383q people. Using Morgan's table the sample size 350 people. The sampling method was ratio stratified one. To gather the two standard questionnaires (Scherer's public self-efficacy and Cassidy & Long problem-solving) were used. The descriptive and inferential statistics (t-test. And U-man Witney) were used to analyze the data using SPSS software. The findings showed that there was a significant difference between the two types of high-schools. The sample high-school students were higher in both self-efficacy and problem-solving.   Manuscript profile
