         The family in Iran is one of the most important social institutions, which is rapidly changing andtransforming under the influence of several factors, including mass media. The present article tries to investigatethe significance of the relationship between mass media and the family values of the youth and in this regard, todetermine whether the family values of the youth tend towards traditional values or modern values? Thetheoretical framework of the current research is a combination of planting theory, dependence theory,application and gratification theory. Using the survey method and a sample size equal to 382 people, thecollected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Kramer's coefficient and regression equation. theresults show that family values Most of the young people (about 75%) tend towards modern values. Also, thecoefficient (beta) shows that the most effective in predicting the tendency of young people towards family valuesis related to their dependence on the media (beta=.192) and the least effective is related to the type of programsthey use (beta=.058).  Manuscript profile

        Since that promote the culture and values of transcendental essential component of a modern - building in the country is to achieve comprehensive development so the role of universities in promoting these values is very important. The recognition of different social classes who entered the University of and  is the role of affect on students and graduates from  basic prerequisite for the development of human resources among communities. This study relied on descriptive analytical and extensive operations and field survey effort in the development of Islamic Azad University jahrom branch, arranged between students and measured values into modern. All undergraduate students studying in the population will consist that they have selected a sample of 120 people. Results showed positive effects with a significant level of 0/05 in the university education, the tendency toward value-oriented reasoning, individualism, egalitarianism, and advancement of the tendency among students to be. Well educated in modern values such as humanism and charm of a small effect on the promotion of the students did not have deter. So the ideals and values of the society and the family confirmed that most can be due to the institutionalization of these principles in the minds of most of the other students that only by setting the value of university are promoted, accepted and accepting students are located.         In this study, the value system governing female high school students and their mothers in Buchan County has been assessed and compared. The main research method was survey and the data collection tool was a questionnaire. Two samples of 180 students and 180 of their mothers were selected by multi-stage systematic random sampling. The face validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by experts and its reliability was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The results show that there is no difference between the two groups of female students and their mothers in material and extra-material values, values ​​related to education and science and family. However, there is a significant difference between the two groups in the values ​​of collectivism, individualism, religion and tradition. That is, the tendency towards individualism and escape from religious and traditional values ​​is stronger among schoolgirls. While there is interaction and sharing between female students and their mothers in the area of ​​modern values, the results in the area of ​​traditional values ​​show a rift. Manuscript profile
