An important part of the available information on the Iranian dynastiesof Būyid and Zīyārid is derived from the dynastic history of theBūyids, entitled Kitāb al-Tājī fī Akhbār al-Dawla al-Daylamīyya, thelost well-known work of Abu Ishāq al-Şābī (d. ca. 381 A.H.), ofwhich fragments are found in the later works. The condensation ofKitā al-Tājī has also been produced by Majd al-Dīn Abu al-Fath FadlAllah al-Kirmanī (d. ca. 620 A.H.) in his commentary on al-Yamīnī,entitled Jawāmi‘ al-Fikar wa Lawāmi‘ al-Fikar. This abridgement hasnot been studied as yet. Enlightening internal reason of the Būyids’collapse, the present article provides both the edited text of al-Kirmani’s abridgement as well as explanatory notes on its contents. The study of the abridgement of Kitāb al-Tājī indicates that legitimacyof the Būyids’ rule and justification of policies of Adud al-Dawla, themost powerful Būyid ruler (d. 372/983), towards his own householdwere the main concerns in the dynastic history which al-Şābī wasforced to write. This article is a survey of one of the most important local historical books ofmaghrib especially in Marinid’s period, entitled al- Anīs al-Mutrib bi Rawdal-Ḳirtās fī Akhbār Mulūk al-Maghrib wa Ta’rīkh Madīna Fās.This article is to recognize the real author’s identity, considering differentviews regarding this questionable subject, and also to represent method ofcomposition, the style of writing, the author’s resources and status of thework among the same historical writings of Marinid’s era by revisingcontext of the book, and then comes to conclusion that ’Abulhasan b.Abdullā b. Abī Zar‘ was the author of at least the main part of the book or itsdraft. Since Marinids and Fez were brought under consideration, the workwas imbued with genealogy and flattery. Whereas the author used to live atthe age of Christian reconquest of Andalus, he recorded in a simple andfluent prose, valuable details of the event, especially the last wars betweenthe Muslim and Christian in Marinid’s era. Finally it should be pointed that the author took advantage of coins, epigraphs, written sources and his eye observations well, to interpret thehistorical matters. Apart from being “local”, what other types of Islamic historiography they are?  A structural and content review of those books revealed: 1. Ta’rīkh Almawṣil is a “local-general chronography” which, in addition to the history of Mosul and the Jazīra, has long report about the history of  late Umayyad and the first Abbasid era; 2. Ta’rīkh Raqqa is a (tabaqat)-“prosopography” which mentions the condition of the “Ulama” of Raqqa and Jazīra, but has very few narrations about the geography and history of this city; 3. Ta’ rīkh Mayyāfāriqīn has narrated the local history of Mayyāfariqīn and the Jazīra under the history of the Caliphate and the history of the Hamdānī, Marwānī and Artuqī dynasties; 4. Ta’ rīkh Irbil is a “non-alphabetic prosopography” in which the lives and works of a number of Ulama and writers of the sixth and seventh centuries AH are discussed Manuscript profile

Historical writing in Iran was roughly one-and-a-half century before and before Iranian acquaintance with the new Western culture and civilization. However, from time to time, historians such as Beyhaghi and others used the method of scientific critique more precisely in terms of the facts and the facts. However, most historians, based on the previous tradition, were able to conceive of the eventuality of the past historians, it may be possible to imagine that either the tradition of historicity was on the same lines or through the social and social unconsciousness or cowardice, or because of lack of understanding of the meaning of events And the events watched some incidents and their perceptions. From the thirteenth century to the present, a new trend emerged in the history of history, which continued until now. Since the beginning of Qajar, there has been a new stream of historiography, one of the manifestations of Iran's encounter with Western civilization. In this research, it is attempted to compare the historiography of two contemporary historians, Hassan Pirnia and Abbas Iqbal, due to the comparison that some of Persiania's conservative nationalists, as one of the oldest methods of historiography While this is not really the case, despite the fact that Pirnia has taken a great step in formulating the history of ancient Iran, it has not taken a step towards the development of historical insights and theorizing on history, and it seems that the late Abbas Iqbal has taken more effective steps in this regard.
