The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of family communication patterns on quality of life mediated by perceived stress in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in patients. The research method was cross-sectional correlation using structural equation modeling. The statistical population included all people with inflammatory bowel disease in Isfahan in 1399, from which 331 subjects were selected by convenience sampling. In this study, family communication model tools (Alcalaa et al, 2004): Quality of Life of Inflammatory Bowel Patients (Fitzpatrick & Koener, 2004) and Perceived Stress Questionnaire (Cohen & Williamson, 1988) were used. Lisrel-V8.8 software was used to analyze the data. Findings showed that the dialogue component has a positive effect on quality of life and a negative effect on perceived stress and compliance component has a negative effect on quality of life and a positive effect on perceived stress (p< 0/05). Findings also showed that family communication patterns through perceived stress have an indirect and significant effect on the quality of life of inflammatory bowel patients (p< 0/05). Based on the findings of this study, it can be said that life stress has an important role in the quality of life of inflammatory bowel patients and it is useful to consider these psychological variables in the training, prevention and treatment of psychiatric patients. This study aimed to determine the mediating role of fatherhood in the relationship between family relationships and the father’s psychologicalcohesion with child adjustment. The research method was correlational and the statistical population of the study was all female elementary schoolstudents in Shahroud in the academic year 2019-2020 and their fathers. From the above community, 240 students and their fathers were selected to participate in the study by using a multi-stage cluster sampling method and responded to the Fatherhood Scale (Dick, 2004), Sense of Coherence Scale (Antonovsky, 1993), Adjustment Inventory (Sinha & Sing, 1998), Index of Family Relationships (Hudson, 1992). Path analysis method were used to evaluate the proposed model. The results showed that fatherhood in the relationship between family relationships and the father’s psychological cohesion with the child’s adjustment has a mediating role. According to the results of the research, it is suggested that experts in the field of education pay special attention to the importance and necessity of the father-child relationship as a determining factor in children's adjustment. The effects of drug abuse on the family relationships The aim of this study was to compare the parenting style and marital satisfaction and social support among the parents of addicted and non-addicted in Qaemshahr, northern Iran, in 2015. The study encompassed parents living in the city. Sample size: considering the population, 157 subjects were selected using stratified random sampling method. Data were collected by a standardized questionnaire. A conclusion was driven out of the findings of the first hypothesis, that is, there was a difference in marital satisfaction between the families of addicts and non-addicts. The mean of responses indicated that marital satisfaction among addicts was lower than that of non-addicts. According to the findings of the second question, parenting style of addicts and non-addicts was different for permissive and authoritative styles, and there was no difference for the authoritative style among them. The mean of responses indicated that addicts employed authoritarian and permissive styles more than non-addicts did. Considering the findings of the third question, it could be deduced that there was a difference between the social supports of families of addicts. The mean of responses indicated that addicts enjoy less social support than non-addicts do. Manuscript profile

This study aims to examine the psychometric properties (reliability, validity and norms) of the Family (IFR) was performed. The study population consisted of all students in the school at the time of the study were enrolled in one of the Alborz High School. Data collection tools was use of the index pattern of family relationships. To test the hypothesis of classical psychometric theory analysis including exploratory factor analysis with principal components analysis and factor analysis to assess the validity of the index pattern of family relationships, the correlation between total score and subscales as convergent validity, the correlation between the assessment of family relationships with family adaptability and cohesion as a criterion validity, the alpha coefficient for internal consistency and test-retest estimates were used. Research results showed that the combination of these 3 factors(Understanding family, family ties, family cohesion) On the 297/60% of the variance of the index family relationships (IFR) to Explains. Can also be deduced that the proportion of the total variance of the first to third in the Index of Family Relations (IFR) is higher than any other factor. So the results of exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis shows the validity test of the relationships in the community. Relationships between index scores with the assessment of adaptability and family cohesion (99%) is significant. These results reflect the criterion validity of the relationships in the community and the estimated coefficients indicate the reliability of the scale and subscales in both internal consistency and reliability.
