        1 - Comparison of Hardiness Personality Trait in Athlete, Non-Athlete Disabled and Healthy Athlete Women

        The purpose of this study was to compare the hardiness personality trait and its three components (commitment, control and challenge) in disabled athlete, disabled non-athlete and healthy athlete women. The research compared a sample included 25 women who were the members of disabled national team with 25 disabled non-athlete and 25 healthy athlete women with respect to Kobasa Hardiness Inventory. According to demographic data, 25 disabled non-athletes and 25 healthy athletes were matched with 25 disabled athlete women. The results of one-way ANOVA showed that there was a significant difference between hardiness and its three components. Dunett Test also showed that the mean of hardiness and its three components in the healthy athlete and disabled athlete women were equal but disabled non-athlete women acquired less mean score compared to healthy athlete and disabled athlete women. Conclusion: sporting can increase hardiness personality trait in disabled athlete women.  Manuscript profile
