This study reports on a creative theater participated by kindergarten children and the evaluation of its effect on their behavior. Data analysis was descriptive and researcher used a qualitative approach in analyzing the study data. This study includes the details about the way sessions were conducted, researcher’s observations, and children’s behavioral changes during the sessions. The study questions were: 1) how children are affected by a creative theater workshop? And 2) how a creative theater can increase children awareness and creative abilities? Observation was the means for collecting data in this study. The type of observation was revealed since the observer (theater teacher) was participating in the observation scene. Observer used a recording device as a tool for collecting data and recorded scenes and communications during the study. Captured pictures by a recording device are considered as secondary observations by research experts. The study population was kindergarten children under 7 years. The children were selected objectively. The study population included seven girls and boys under 7 from a selected kindergarten. The researcher recorded the events in the workshop and studied behavioral changes in children compared to their behavior before the workshop. The research studied children’s participation, creative abilities, and skills in various simulated social settings and evaluated the effects on children’s self-confidence. This study revealed that entertainment, playing roles, and group participation are important factors in behavioral changes in children when playing creative theater.     Manuscript profile
