Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the difference between the effectiveness of group education of pre-marital counseling concepts based on two cognitive-behavioral approaches and reality therapy on students' own differentiation. Methods: This research is a quasi-experimental research and its research design is pre-test, post-test design with control group. The study population of this study is single students of Islamic Azad University, Imam Khomeini Memorial Branch in Shahreri and the number of samples studied is equal to 45 people. In order to collect information, the Self-Differentiation Questionnaire (DSI) and the group training course on the concepts of premarital counseling with cognitive-behavioral approach and reality therapy were used in 8 two-hour sessions to the subjects. Analysis of covariance was used to analyze the data.Findings: The results show that group training on the concepts of premarital counseling with two conitive-behavioral approaches and reality therapy on increasing the differentiation of students themselves was significant, but these two training methods were not statistically significant in terms of effectiveness. Conclusion: Although both cognitive-behavioral pre-marital counseling and behavioral therapy training methods have a significant effect on increasing their differentiation, it does not matter which of these two training methods is used for this purpose. Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of mindfulness skills training based on cognitive-behavioral approach on reducing depression in male students. Methodology: The present study was non-descriptive in terms of data collection and its design was pretest-posttest with a control group and quantitative in terms of method. The present study population included all high school male students in District 5 of Tehran. To select the sample, based on previous studies, purposive non-random sampling method was used. Thus, in the screening stage, 30 who had the lowest score in the research tools were selected based on the level of education and financial status of the parents and were matched in two experimental and control groups and were replaced in two groups of 15 people. The experimental group was trained in a cognitive-behavioral mindfulness program for 8 sessions. Data collection tools Beck Depression Inventory (1989) was used. Findings: The results showed that there was a significant difference between the two groups (experimental and control) in the variables of depression and communication skills. Cognitive-behavioral mindfulness program significantly reduced depression in students. Conclusion: Considering the effectiveness of mindfulness training based on cognitive-behavioral approach in reducing depression and improving communication skills, to promote and reflect methods and teach these methods and also increase the level of mental health of students, relevant officials and school counselors can implement comprehensive and preventive program formats to implement them at the school level. AbstractThe present study was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral group counseling on increasing the general health of female students. The current study is a semi-experimental type in which a pre-test and post-test design was used with an experimental group and a control group. The statistical population of the research was made up of all female high school students in the first secondary level of Marand city, and among them, 30 people (15 people each in the experimental and control groups) were selected by purposive sampling and randomly replaced in the experimental and control groups. In this research, the 28-question general health questionnaire of Goldberg and Hiller (1979) was used to collect information. Data analysis using multivariate covariance analysis method showed: teaching cognitive-behavioral approach in a group manner increases students' social functioning and significantly reduces their symptoms of depression, anxiety and physical symptoms (P≤ 0.05). It is concluded that cognitive-behavioral therapy can be well used and effective in order to increase the general health of students due to the cultural closeness with the Iranian society. Keywords: cognitive-behavioral approach, public health, female students.1. The effects of anger management training on reducing parental anger was examined. Twenty-one parents (13 fathers with an average age of 37 and eight mothers (with an average age of 36) participated in seven sessions of anger management workshops. State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory (Spielberger, 1999) and Parental Anger Evaluation Questionnaire (Shokoohi Yekta & Zamani, 2008) were administered before and after training. The results of repeated measures revealed that anger management training significantly reduced the intensity of anger in situation-induced anger and trait anger, and increased anger control-in. There were no significant differen- ces in anger expression-out, anger expression-in and anger control-out. Results are discussed based on the efficacy of cognitive-behavioral interventions.     Manuscript profile

the aim of the present study was to examine the effectiveness of social skills training via cognitive-behavioral approach on adaptive functioning and emotional-behavioral disorders in students. The design of the study was experimental with pretest-posttest control group and two months follow-up. Thirty school girls of 5th and 6th grades with emotional-behavioral disorders were selected by random multilevel clustering from Langrood city in 2012-2013 academic year. The participants were randomly assigned into experimental or control groups. In order to assess the adaptive functioning and emotional-behavioral disorder in students, the Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL; Achenbach & Rescorla, 2001) was used. The experimental group received the Walker Social Skills Curriculum (Walker, 1983) for 17 sessions during two months. Repeated measures ANCOVA was used to analyze the data. The results indicated that there was a significant difference between experimental and control group in adaptive functioning and emotional-behavioral disorders during post-test and follow-up. The findings suggest that the social skills training should be considered as a complementary part of school educational program. Manuscript profile
