The purpose of this study is to analyze the asymmetric effects of oil priceshocks on economic growth in Iran. There are two hypotheses in this study:First, any reduction of oil prices leads to lower economic growth in Iran andsecond, the positive impact of an equal increase of price of oil on economicgrowth is less than the negative effect. Therefore the effects are asymmetric. We use Vector Auto Regression model to estimate our model. Our modelshows that shockwaves in oil price have a greater impact on economicfluctuations in Iran than other macroeconomic variables. We also use Hydric ‐Prescott filtering to separating positive and negative shocks and confirm theirasymmetric effects Manuscript profile

Listed companies are always affected by shocks and instabilities in parallel financial markets such as exchange rates and gold. Knowledge of how these impacts are useful for managing companies and investors to make optimal decisions regarding risk management, financing and investment. Therefore, in this study, the effect of investigating the asymmetric effects of parallel financial markets shock on stock returns and financial and commercial risk of 262 companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange during the period 2009-2010 using the Generalized Torque (GMM) approach. Been investigated. The results show that the negative and positive shocks of the exchange rate and the price of gold have an asymmetric effect on trade risk, finance and stock returns. These asymmetric effects apply in terms of size, sign and significance. Positive gold price shocks also have a negative effect on trade risk and a positive effect on financial risk, but these shocks do not have a significant effect on stock returns. In contrast, the impact of negative gold price shocks on financial risk is negative and market returns are positive (the impact of negative shock on trade risk is not statistically significant). Based on the above results, it can be stated that corporate operating costs and financing costs are affected by price shocks in the gold and foreign exchange markets. Manuscript profile

AbstractOne of the important and effective success factors in development planning is the knowledge of the structure and potential of different sectors in the economy. Transportation, warehousing and communication sub-sectors are among the sectors of the country's economy, which have a significant share in the gross national product, and therefore, the factors affecting its added value should be considered by economic policy makers. On the other hand, in the direction of formulation and macro-economic decisions, the amount and direction of influence (symmetry or asymmetry) of monetary policies, including changes in the volume of liquidity, on macro-variables has always been the concern of economic policymakers. Therefore, in the upcoming study, we will dynamically examine the direction and degree of influence of the added value of the transportation, warehousing and communication sub-sector from asymmetric changes in the volume of liquidity using time series data annually during the period 1363 to 1398 and for For this purpose, the autoregression model with non-linear distribution breaks and the edge test approach have been used. The results show that there is a long-term relationship (collinearity) between the variables of the model, and the shocks of changes in the volume of liquidity in the studied model have an asymmetric effect and have larger coefficients in the long run. Based on other research results, the interest rate of bank loans on the added value of this sub-sector is positive and significant, and the elasticity of the added value of the mentioned sub-sector in the investigated model is higher than the interest rate of bank loans in relation to the changes in the volume of liquidity in the short and long term. Abstract The aim of this paper Major part of GDP of Iran driven by oil revenues. As the oil price fluctuations vary the oil incomes, assess the effect of this variation on economic growth is a matter of importance. In this regard, this survey investigate the asymmetric effects of oil price shocks on Iran's economic growth and interest rate using seasonal data from 1999:4 to 2015: 3 using self-equilibrium pattern of nonlinear transient nonlinear transmission (LSTVAR) series, including high and low oscillation regimes. Oil price fluctuations are selected as a transition variable, and using the generalized instantaneous reaction function, the asymmetric effects of oil price shocks on economic growth and interest rate have been examined. The results indicate that oil price shocks in both high and low volatility regimes have different and asymmetric effects on economic growth and interest rate. The shock of oil prices in the high-fluctuation regime at the start will reduce economic growth to a greater extent than the increase in economic growth in a regime with low volatility. According to the results, it is suggested that saving excess oil revenues in oil price increases should be considered so that this surplus can be used to reduce the adverse effects of oil price fluctuations. An important issue in macroeconomics is the effect of monetary shocks on macroeconomic variables. How monetary shocks affect the real production in different economic situations such as recession and expansion is vital for policy makings and the effectiveness of the policies. So, this research tries to test and analyze the asymmetric impacts of monetary shocks on the productions in Iran by using seasonal Time Series Data during 1999-2008 and Markov-Switching model. The results indicate that negative and positive monetary policies in recession and also expansion period have asymmetric effects on domestic production growth. In general, monetary shocks are more effective in recession than expansion.  Manuscript profile

Abstract The present study intends to use the Mixed Data Sampling model (MIDAS) to investigate the effect of exchange rate changes on the variable of real production in Iran during the period 1397:1  to1380:4  that Provides implement a flexibility model whit  high descriptive power, including variables of varying frequency (eg daily, weekly and monthly) together in a regression. The results of this study show that the MIDAS model is statistically strong in identifying the asymmetric dynamic effects of the independent variable with higher freuency (exchange rate changes) on the dependent variable with lower frequency (GDP) compared to the same frequency model of these variables and shows asymmetry better. Also, based on the obtained results, the intensity of the impact of the momentum and the persistence of each momentum are different, so that the negative momentum of the exchange rate has more intense and lasting effects on Iran's GDP. Abstract The purpose of this research is to investigate the asymmetric evaluation of the high-frequency valuation of the company listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange using the MS-EGARCH model. For this purpose, the 5-minute data of Tehran Stock Exchange was used in the period of 2021-2022. Based on the results of the research, it was determined that the variable trend of stock exchange returns in non-linear mode (separation of period length into high and low regimes) is preferable to linear mode, and when the volatility of stock trading is small, the average return of the stock market changes, but the variance of the return changes. The stock market has no significant effect. Also, the results show the asymmetric effects of the effect of stock trading on the changes in stock exchange returns in the boom regime, and the fluctuations of stock trading in the average and high variance regime, in the state of increasing and decreasing stock trading, will have a different effect on the changes in stock exchange returns, and generally its positive effect It is smaller than its negative effects. As a result, it is suggested that the policy makers in the implementation of policies related to the capital market should be proportional to the regime in which the capital market is located, different policies and even if the policies are the same, the intensity of their implementation should be proportional to the characteristics of that regime in each regime.
