        This study aimed to investigate the content of the common discourse of traditional music and rap music in Iran is ten years. To the knowledge of traditional music and rap, to pay for content analysis of these two genres. This research using quantitative and qualitative content analysis method to study themes used in both music. According to Saussure's linguistic signifiers and signified approach and using random sampling of works by Mohammad Reza Shajarian for traditional music and Yasser Bakhtiari (Jasmine) for rap music, in the past ten years. The findings of this study indicate that the dramatic differences in addressing social issues, in both traditional music and rap, is remarkable. Less than a quarter of the traditional music content, deals with social issues. While in rap music, about a third of the content, social issues will be discussed. It seems commonality between traditional music and rap in the least amount of attention to moral values. Both national culture in music, are considered to be relatively equal. In traditional music, more than other categories of more than (40%), paid to the subject of the discourse of power and the least amount of attention to moral values are discussed.   Manuscript profile

        This research is dealing with the investigation of relationship between national identity and traditional music education. In this regard, at first the importance of the subject is investigated, afterward the concept of national identity and its dimension are described, and some definitions on culture, music, traditional music, education, and finally music education are provided. In investigating of national identity, the dimension of Persian Literature and Language, Land, Social, Cultural Heritage, and History are developed as components of national identity. In this research, the scholar seeks to demonstrate that traditional music education has the effect on national identity. The scholar not only knows the fact that traditional music is an important component in dimension area of Persian Literature and Language, but also seeks to demonstrate that other dimension of national identity are enhanced by the integration content of traditional music, and also traditional music education affects other dimension and this affect is so considerable that can be a new research subject To clear that, theoretical viewpoints and definitions have been specified very well in order to operationalize research dimension. The statistical population of this research is "undergraduate students of Iranian and world instrument playing faculty of Tehran University" and sampling method is "Judgment Targeted Sampling Method". In this research, data collecting has been accomplished through questionnaire and since the dependent variable that has been investigated after incidence and the research is an ex post facto research, causal-comparative method has been used. According to results obtained, traditional music education has a large effect in all dimensions of national identity, especially in dimensions of social and cultural heritage, and significant differences between the experimental group and control group confirm the hypothesis of the research Manuscript profile

        Music implicates a bond between body and spirit of the human being and the surrounding environment, and also addresses a coordination and harmony established among all different elements of the nature. What the whole world composed of is sound or music. In fact the nature thoroughly is filled with music, and the music can be considered as a prominent instance of expression and manifestation of natural sounds. In this paper, impression of nature and environment on every aspect of Iranian Music has been considered. And, library studies, studying audio sources, and doing field works in different regions of Iran indicate that among different genres of Iranian music, “Traditional music”, “National music” and “Folklore music” all are influenced by nature and environment. The Iranian traditional music has been developed based on “Dastgah-s” (modes and  rhythms systems of  the ancient Iran) and “Radif” (the repertory of  Persian music), that is included a collection of  melodies which they have been collected by different people and added to the repertory at different times and having the most public cultural and natural characteristics of Iran. The Iranian national music, which is consist of Iranian songs, ballads and tunes, has been influenced by environmental factors and these influences, after a thorough research, presented in a table. Each region of Iran, with regard to its geographical status, its unique socio-cultural texture and its special own customs necessitates an exceptional music to itself. Nature and environment have different effects on the behavior and ideology of people in different regions, and definitely on the music. People of each region select their instrument and songs based on their initial environment. Folklore music such as music of  Khorasan, Gilan, Mazandaran, Kordestan, Lorestan, Balouchestan, Azarbaijan, Torkaman Sahra and so on; are  mostly inspired from the nature, and  greatly evidencing the role of relevant nature and surrounding environment on them.
