Color has an undeniable role in Persian literature. Every color has its own special effect, and each effect from a special color creates the special mental state. In the extent of non-verbal communications, poets and authors have done effective works by their emotional and sometimes rational conceptions to clarify the unknown secrets of color. The findings of this research analyzing the rhetorical and literary language of color in non-verbal communications in the poetry of Roudaki and Manouchehri, shows that colors in these poets' poetry are their second and communicative language. These two poets, as great naturalist poets of Khorasani style like other poets of this style, have extremely used the various range of colors and their language to create the words, themes, interpretations, and literary and artistic images by inspiration of the colorfulness of chromatic nature to transfer and excite their thoughts and inner messages in the world of non-verbal communications. The colors like red, black, white, and yellow have high frequency rather than other colors. Happiness has been portrayed by the red and green colors, and dark colors like black has been their communicative language in sadness and sorrowfulness. In addition, they have selected the white color to express the purity, and dark colors to show their disappointment Manuscript profile

No doubt, one of the strongest subject matter in Roudaki’s poetry manifested in a significant and multitude of form is death.  Roudki’s conception of death is a profound one. Apart from the fact that the subject of death in elegies is brought about with such openness and with some remorse, such an outlook towards death brings to mind a kind of Khayyamic mode of thought whose recurrent theme is a Carpedieum motif, an invitation to joyful life because of its short duration.  Moreover, manifestation of death in Roudaki’s lyrical poetry, where he creates an image of his own death in a conversation with his beloved, a kind of sympathizing with the beloved, later finds expression in a more serious form in Persian lyrical literature is discussed along the main subject.
