        Objective: To present a plan for developing a model for the production of tactile books (from the perspective of production experts and educators of blind and visually impaired 3- to 6-year-old children) Methodology: The present study is a combined application. In the quality section, the Delphi method has been used to obtain the consensus of experts in the production and publication of tactile books. In the quantitative part, a researcher-made questionnaire was used to aggregate the views of educational instructors in an analytical survey. The content validity coefficient of the questionnaire was higher than 0.99 and the content validity index was higher than 0.79. The reliability of the questionnaire was measured based on Cronbach's alpha coefficient equal to 0.863. The statistical population includes all experts in the production and publication of tactile books, which includes 33 production experts, of which 21 experts were selected as members of the Delphi panel in the qualitative part of the research by available sampling. In the quantitative section, all 76 in-service instructors were selected from 23 educational centers in Iran that work in connection with tactile books. Results: In the Delphi method in three stages and despite the low Kendall coefficient in the third round (0.565), it was concluded that finally the survey process of production and publishing experts, Delphi panel in the third round with 37 items Stop the questionnaire. Comparison of production criteria of tactile sensory books from the perspective of educational instructors to determine their approval indicates that the technical criteria of production (72%), content criteria (74%), and presentation criteria (72%) It was approved and among them, experts and educators assigned the highest amount to the content criterion with values ​​(74%). Finally, the criteria for the production and evaluation of tactile books from the perspective of educators were largely approved (72%). Conclusion: In order to understand the most important criteria for the production of textbooks from the perspective of production and publishing experts and educators, after analyzing the components and turning them into new factors, with the help of factor analysis Exploratory and relative chi-square index and fitting confirmatory factor were presented, and a model for the production of tactile sensory books was developed and proposed.         Objective: study aims to make a content analysis of library and information science's literature, books and scientific articles, published in Iran from March 2011 to March 2012. Methodology: this research was done by content analysis. Using the national bibliography of Iran, Khan-e Ketab database, Magiran databank and different catalogues published by specialized or public publishers, the necessary information has been collected and statistically analyzed by Spss software. Findings:  78 published books and 247 presented articles, “Library and Information Science” has constituted the most focused topic among books and “Information Technology and Communications” formed the most frequently repeated subject among journal articles.   Results:  The hypothesis of the investigation was tested by independent t-test. The results showed: 69% of books and 62% of journal articles in this field are produced by men and the others by female experts.  Also there is a meaningful difference between compiled and translated works.  Manuscript profile

        The goal of this study is to investigate the problems of the publishers of Tehran province during 1997 to 2007. The methodology is a descriptive survey., and 130 publishers were chosen. Data were collected by interviews and an organized questionnaire distributed among the publishers. The data were analyzed by SPSS and Excel. The findings show that during this period, the most important barriers and problems are as follows: the main problem of the publishers is that their activities are not economically justifiable, 94.6% of the publishers declared that investment in publishing books is not profitable. The most important barriers and problems of book reading in the society are as follows according to the publisher's views: Low culture of the society with 42.3%; lack of reading habits and reading education in the society with 28.5%; dropping the book out of the purchase basket of the family because of the economic conditions with 26.2%. The most important problems of the distributing books are as follows: Lack of information through mass media with 33.8%; lack of information by the publisher with 37.7%; and lack of the book distribution with 28.5%. The circulation status had a different one in the period and the most subject produced are in pure sciences with 21.5%. The hypotheses of the research are tested by chi-square. The first one is confirmed, namely there is a meaningful relation between union formation and the stimulation of being a publisher; the second hypotheses is not confirmed, namely there is no meaningful relation between union support and the membership in the union. the third hypothesis is confirmed, namely there are meaningful relation between union support and investment of the publishers. To improve the publication economics the following suggestions are presented by the publishers: propagation for free book with 34.6%; and fostering book reading culture via TV and the other media with 33.8%; paying subsidy to the publishers by the government with 28.5%.     Manuscript profile
