This research was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of positive treatment on improving the quality of life of women suffering from PMS who refer to health centers in Isfahan. PMS or premenstrual syndrome is one of the most common disorders in reproductive age that occurs about 7 to 14 days before menstruation with a range of physical symptoms such as headache, breast sensitivity and swelling, acne, muscle pains and sleep and appetite disorders. Psychological symptoms such as stress, anxiety, and depression occur, and their symptoms often subside after the bleeding begins. Applied research was a semi-experimental type (with a pre-test-post-test design) with a control group. The statistical population was women with PMS referring to health centers in Isfahan city. The investigated sample was 30 women referring to health care centers, who were selected according to the criteria for entering the research and were randomly assigned to two control and experimental groups. The participants in the experimental group underwent 10 sessions of 90 minutes in 10 weeks. received positive treatment training, but the participants in the control group did not receive any intervention. To collect data, the premenstrual syndrome screening questionnaire of Steiner et al. (2003) and the short form of the World Health Organization quality of life questionnaire were used. Data analysis and investigation of the research hypothesis was done using SPSS software version 24 and through statistical tests and analysis of covariance. The results of the present study (P<0.05) showed that interventions based on positive psychology can improve the quality of life when faced with disorders caused by this syndrome. According to the findings of the research, it is concluded that positive treatment plays an important role in improving the quality of life of women with PMS. Manuscript profile
