This study intends to review the viewpoints of personal information management and designing a faculty member''s personal information management assessment tool. The research is applied and consists of documentary and delphi methods. The collection of personal information management components was done by documentary method and designing the components of the questionnaire using Delphi panels comments (15 experts in information science). Inside and out of the country, several research papers have examined various aspects of personal information management, but the source that was directly targeted at developing a tool for measuring personal information management of researchers and faculty members was not identified. In the context of personal information management assessment, there are few Latin questionnaires available. Due to the differences in educational system and curriculum, these tools do not have the necessary efficiency to evaluate the personal information management of Iranian researchers. Therefore, it is recommended to design a tool for measuring personal information management skills of different groups, taking into account the type of information needs of individuals Manuscript profile
