It is important to note that this action can not only be done verbally, but the general verse includes any action that involves insult. On the other hand, it is not only the sanctities of religions and idols that are subject to this ruling. There are some reasons why everything that is for others, and insulting them causes insults to the holy things, including the essence of God, the saints, etc., is prohibited in the holy verse.
