        Considering the family as the most important social institution and the context for the growth of each individual in society is very important. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral family therapy on general health and marital satisfaction of families with mentally retarded children in Khorramabad city. This research is a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest design with control group. The statistical population consisted of all families with mentally retarded children referred to Khorramabad rehabilitation centers in the summer of 2014. 30 families were selected by sampling in random sampling and were randomly divided into two experimental groups (15 individuals) And witness (15 people). The general health questionnaire and marital satisfaction questionnaire were used as a pretest, then the experimental group received 12 sessions of cognitive-behavioral family therapy and the control group received no intervention. At the end of the post-test, the data were analyzed using SPSS-21 software and covariance analysis. The findings showed that there was a significant difference between the two groups of experimental and post-cognitive-behavioral family therapy (P<0.05). Mean score of general health and marital satisfaction in the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group Increased. Manuscript profile

        Purpose: The Purpose of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of psychological well-being treatment on the tolerance of confusion in mothers of mentally retarded children. Methodology: The present study was experimental with a pre-test, post-test follow-up design with control group. The statistical population of the study included all mothers of children with disabilities in Tehran in 2019-20, using a targeted sampling method, 30 of them were selected and placed in the experimental and control group (15 people in each group). The Simmons and Gauher Confusion Tolerance Questionnaire (2005) was used to collect information. The experimental group was treated with psychological well-being (ten 120-minute sessions); But the control group wasn’t intervened. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and statistical analysis of variance analysis with repeated measurements at a significance level of 0.05 using Spss23 software. Results: According to the results, this treatment can be used to increase the tolerance of confusion in mothers of mentally retarded children and thus help to reduce stress for these mothers (P< 0.001). Conclusion: Psychological well-being, through increased self-confidence, has led to increased tolerance for confusion in mothers, and this has likely been able to reduce stressful thoughts and behaviors.   Manuscript profile

        Birth of a mentally retarded child as a crisis can affect the mental health of family members, especially mothers. Aim of the research was to compare the effectiveness of life-skills training and meaning-therapy on psychological well-being and parenting stress of mothers of mentally retarded children. The research method was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population was all the mothers of mentally retarded students in exceptional schools of Urmia(2020-2021), using available sampling method, 60 people were selected as a sample, and assigned to two experimental groups(40 people) and a control group(20 people). Ryff questionnaire(to measure psychological well-being), Matson questionnaire(to communication skills) and Abidin questionnaire(to mothers' parenting stress) were used. The first group received life-skills and the second group received meaning-therapy through a 10-session training package, and the control group didn’t receive any educational intervention. The data were analyzed using one-way and multivariate covariance tests. Results: life-skills training was effective in increasing psychological well-being and its five subscales, and reducing parenting stress and its subscales(p<0.05), meaning-therapy training has been effective in increasing psychological well-being and its four sub-scales, and reducing parenting stress and its sub-scales(p>0.05). In comparing the effectiveness of life -skills and meaning-therapy in psychological well-being; sub-scale of purposeful life and under parenting stress; the sub-scale of problematic child characteristics and stress-parenting had a higher effectiveness than meaning-therapy.         The present study was about the clinical trial of educational technologies and its experienced capabilities in the improvement of neurodevelopmental disorders with emphasis on learning disabilities, mental retardation and autism spectrum. The research was qualitative in terms of the applied purpose of the approach and the type of thematic analysis and the method used based on the Atrid-Sterling model. Using the purposeful method and selection of texts and using the theoretical saturation criterion, 70 articles (35 foreign articles and 35 internal articles) between 2000 and 2021 for foreign articles and for internal articles between 2009 and 1400 were selected and analyzed. Findings were analyzed and implemented in the form of basic, organizing, and comprehensive themes. MAXqda2018 software was used for data analysis. The results showed that 154 themes were related to the capabilities of technology in the improvement of neurodevelopmental disorders, which increased the effectiveness of technology in various areas of life of people with learning disabilities (55 themes), mental retardation (47 themes) and autism spectrum disorders (52 themes) showed.
