The present study was conducted with the aim of standardizing the self-directed learning skill scale of medical students in electronic curricula. This research is a correlational descriptive in terms of applied purpose and in terms of nature and method. The statistical population of this research was all medical students of Hamedan University of Medical Sciences who participated in the present research online by defining the desired tool on the Pressline website. According to the use of confirmatory factor analysis in this research, a sample of 550 people completed the questionnaire through voluntary and online sampling. In order to collect the desired data, an eight-item questionnaire "self-discovery of medical students in electronic curricula" was used. In order to analyze the data, first to check the scale factors and the distribution of the items from exploratory factor analysis using SPSS-28 software and then to validate the items and factors from confirmatory factor analysis with the software Smart-PLS-3 software is used. The results showed that the factor loadings of each of the items in 8 factors after rotation were confirmed with the desired variance because the absolute value of these coefficients is higher and the corresponding factor has a greater role in the total changes (variance) of the item variable. has an opinion Therefore, according to the results of the exploratory factor analysis, the research components were confirmed in eight factors: self-efficacy, self-management, academic help-seeking, motivation to learn, responsibility, self-organization, self-control, and self-evaluation with 73 items and the factor loads They are desirable. The confirmatory factor analysis also showed that the items of all eight components of the research, except for item five, have the necessary sufficiency to stay in the research, and the values of their factor loadings were appropriate and have a good fit. Also, Cronbach's alpha for all eight. Manuscript profile

Purpose: The present paper aims to compare the utilization and ability of medical students in using the electronic resources of the IDL portal of Iran. Methodology: The survey was conducted through a structured questionnaire circulated among 300 medical students taken from three main universities. A stratified accidental random sample method was used for selection of respondents and interacting with them. These respondents were among those available in the university campus during the survey period. The descriptive statistics methods such as the frequency tables, column graphs and calculation of the central indexes such as “average” have been used to analyze the data which have been practiced by the Excel. Findings: The findings of this research demonstrate that the awareness and utilization level of the students in the three universities are lower than average. The students of the three universities declare the lack of acquaintance with this digital library as their most significant problem. Among the investigated universities, students of Tehran University use the EndNote, Elsevier, Thomson, Scopus and Proquest databases most. All the subject students express the effect of the IDL on the scientific activities as too much. The average points for utilization of searching strategies are 2.43, 2.89 and 2.87 respectively for Iran, Tehran and Shahid Beheshti Universities. Conclusion: Our findings suggest that the research capabilities of students is below average . Knowledge and ability of them must be improved Manuscript profile

The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of communication skills training on COVID-19 stress in medical students of Islamic Azad University in the 2021-2022 academic years. This study was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design and a control group. The research sample included 170 individuals who were selected by simple random sampling method and randomly placed into two groups of 85 namely experimental and control groups. The experimental group received the communication skills training but the control group did not receive any special intervention. The instrument was COVID-19 stress scale. The data were analyzed by running chi-square, independent t-test and univariate analysis of covariance in SPSS 26 software. The findings of chi-square and independent t-tests showed that the experimental and control groups did not significantly differ in terms of gender and mean age (P>0.05). Also, the results of univariate analysis of covariance indicated that communication skills training reduced COVID-19 stress in medical students (P<0.001). Findings demonstrated the effective role of communication skills training in reducing the stress of COVID-19 in medical students. Therefore, mental health professionals can rely on communication skills to reduce the problems related to Corona virus. Manuscript profile

Background: Hepatitis B vaccination is an important preventive approach among high-risk group of medical students. Accordingly, this study was performed to determine the Anti-HBS antibody level after vaccination among medical students in clinical course in Mashad branch of Azad University of Medical Scienes in 2013 and 2014. Methods and Materials: This study was performed as an observational study with descriptive cross-sectional manner. In this study, 154 medical students in clinical course in Mashad branch of Azad University of Medical Scienes in 2013 and 2014 were evaluated and the anti-HBS antibody was determined after vaccination. Results: The results demonstrated that mean antibody titer was 186/5 ± 114/9 units per ml and 10 subjects (6/5%) had no antibody response. Male gender, higher BMI, and longer time passed from vaccination were contributing factors for lower antibody titer (P < 0/05). Conclusions: Totally, according to the obtained results and comparison with other studies, it may be concluded that one out of sixteen medical students would have no antibody response after vaccination.   Manuscript profile
