        Paying attention to the quality of training and its productivity is essential and evaluating it correctly will prepare useful information on how to plan and implement training programs properly. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the effectiveness of on-job trainings courses in Islamic Azad University, Firoozkouh Branch during 2007-2008. This research is a descriptive and causal-comparative study. The data were collected through all documents and books available in different libraries, Internet searching as well as a questionnaire. The population contains all trained and untrained employees out of them 88 people are selected by Simple Random Sampling as the sample under examination. Then, the effectiveness of training programs and its criteria were studied. After verifying the validity and reliability of the questionnaire devised by the researcher, a statistical sample was used and the results obtained was analyzed via the software SPSS. The findings of the research show t that training programs must be based on scientific studies and organizational needs to cover the costs and resources applied as well as to promote and progress the employees and organization Manuscript profile

        Abstract    The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the syllabus of educational management at master's level in terms of the quality of education and vocational suitability from the perspective of candidates and graduates. The research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of nature and method. The statistical population included all students and graduates in the field of educational administration at Islamic Azad University, Roodehen Branch. Therefore, due to the unknown population size and based on the Cochran's formula for the unknown size, with an error of 0.05, 384 people were selected using the convenience sampling method. To collect data, a researcher-made questionnaire was used to evaluate the effectiveness of the educational administration syllabus. To analyze the data, single sample t-test was used to compare the mean scores of participants with the mean of the population. Finally, Friedman test was utilized for ranking. The results showed that the mean scores of the participants in the study were lower than the population mean and most participants chose the negative option. Therefore, according to the results from the perspective of candidates and graduates of educational administration at the master's program, the course topics in general and also in terms of educational quality and vocational suitability with the labor market are not effective and need to be reviewed.
