        The doctrinal foundations, values, belief systems and government practices in each society determine a certain lifestyle. In fact, every society needs to follow multiple behavioral and interactive patterns at different levels in order to develop and grow. Paying attention to the lifestyle of a society that is accorded with the Islamic values is one of the necessities that have received much attention in Iranian society. Accordingly, Rumi's Masnavi, which has an important role in didactic and moral literature, has been effective in shaping a kind of lifestyle appropriate to the cultural and specific characteristics of the Islamic-Iranian society. Based upon this, the present article pursues two main purpose analytically: 1) In what ways are the practical causes and motivations of Rumi's didactic themes expressed in Masnavi? 2) How wide has the range of didactic themes in this work been? To achieve these two aims, Rumi's poems were studied in six books of Masnavi. Then, the practical motivations and themes in Masnavi that can be effective in the Islamic lifestyle were studied and analyzed. This descriptive-analytical research, while explaining the causes and motives of Rumi's didactic practices in Masnavi, has also tried to answer the basic question of the research that is " to what extent Rumi uses the methods such as enunciating, warning, reminding, allegory and the like? The most important result is that in Masnavi, Rumi uses the method of enunciation and punishment more to guide humans to perfection.      Manuscript profile
