        The policy of promoting villages to towns is one of the modern policies that most developing countries adopt improve the life quality of rural dwellers. Accordingly, Iran, in recent three decades, has followed this policy so as to promote the life quality and prevent rural dwellers to migrate to big cities The goal of the present study is an evaluation of the role of the policy of changing villages to towns in the dweller’s life quality through studying observable indexes. The study id done in towns of Bordekhoon and Banak in Busher Province. The research is descriptive–analytical. The required data have been collected through questionnaire distributed among 278 family men or women. The data analysis has been done by SPSS software, too. The results of present research on the basis of t. test before and after urbanization have shown that the policy of promoting village to towns has caused a remarkable promotion in life quality of both towns of Bordekhoon and Banak. Based on the path analysis, the component of service facilities has highly influenced life quality in both towns. However, the least influential components in Bordekhoon and Banak are Information and communication and recreational facilities, respectively. Manuscript profile
