Objective: This article aims to study factors into factors hindering of Iranian women’s research productivity in ISI. Methodology: To do this, at first, women who have already had published documents indexed in ISI were identified through Web of Science (WoS). Then, for collecting their view regarding factors hindering women’s research productivity, a researcher-made questionnaire was used. To analyze the collected data, the statistical software SPSS (version 17) was used. Both descriptive (Percentage and Frequency) and inferential (ANOVA) statistics were employed to reach valid findings. Findings: The most inhibitory factors affecting negatively publishing scholarly articles by Iranian women are ‘Shortcomings in the existing laws’, ‘Stereotypes and beliefs concerning women’, ‘Family work’Social and cultural contingencies’, ‘Child care’, and ‘Low collaboration with male colleagues. Conclusion: Regarding Patriarchal culture in the society and scientific society, and  women's ruminating due to home management, these two factors has caused the women scientific production would be low.At the end, for empowerment of women and moderating inhibitory factors, some suggestions are offered Manuscript profile

This research aims to analyze indexed articles in Atomic Energy Organization of Iran for INIS database and compare the citation behaviors of their authors during the years 2002-2006. Then, it tries to determine the core journals. The research is a survey study done using citation analysis method. The method of compiling data is by taking notes from the resources of these articles. The results of the research revealed that there were totally 4351 citations in 300 analyzed articles, so the average number of citations for each article was 14.5. Most of articles with 20.33 percent were in "Nuclear Radiology and Medicine" subject. The Bradford Law comes true with the Latin journals used by authors and there were three core journals named "Physics Review", "Physics Review Letter", and "Physica" in the analyzed articles. Also, 9 most used Persian and 18 Latin books were determined. Authors of the articles, in total, have the most range of using journals with 70.44 percent citation and least range of using electronic resources with 1.01 percent citation. The half-life of the cited resources in the analyzed articles is 7.2 years overall. The half-life of the Persian cited resources were 4 years and the half-life of the Latin cited resources were 9.6 years, in average. In analysis of the language of cited resources, English resources have the first rank with 93.82 percent of citations. After that, Persian resources were in second rank with 5.03 percent of citations.   Manuscript profile

Nowadays, epistemology presents a new field in research areas. In this science, statistical and measurement methods are used to determine the criterions of the growth and development of science and levels of their expansion and its effect on research societies. This science appeared in Russia and developed in Eastern European countries especially in Hungary. This method is used for quantitative measurement of science in the national and international levels of governmental and private establishments. Bibliometrics is one of the important methods of epistemology and citation study or analysis is one of the most popular techniques of bibliometrics in which formulas ruling the relation between text and document are studied. Human being relies to credit his work. The path of scientific discovery and thoughts are defined by citations that are rate of referring to former sources like fixed traces. In this article, meanings, definitions and functions of citation analysis from scientists' viewpoint are studied and the relation between aspects is expressed.     Manuscript profile

Purpose: In this study the history and definitions of bibliometrics have been described. Then, the current state of this field has been reviewed in ISI database. Methodology: To do this, data available in ISI database were consulted. Findings: Findings show that Glanzel has produced 41 documents and thus is the most productive author in this database. According to findings, USA with production of 453 documents stands in the highest rank in all nations. Findings also show that Leiden University has produced 78 articles and therefore stands as the first university in this regard. The documents regarding bibliometrics in ISI database have been written in 11 languages. In this regard, 1503 documents have been written in English language. Scientometrics Journal has published 111 documents relating to bibliometrics. 213 documents have been written by researchers in the field of Library and Information Science. The most productive year for bibliometrics studies is the year 2007. Conclusions: Term “bibliometrics” has significantly developed compared to other metrics terms   Manuscript profile

Purpose: This study aims to clarify the scope and boundaries between words and topics ‘Bibliometrics’, ‘Scientometrics’, and ‘Infometrics’. Methodology: The method used in this study is content analysis. For this purpose, the records that had in the title at least one of the words Bibliometrics, Scientometrics, and Infometrics and were available during the years 1973-2009 were searched using the search strategy:scientometric/ti or scientometrics/ti or informetric/ti or informetrics/ti or bibliometric/ti or bibliometrics/ti.Then, the synonyms, general and unrelated keywords in the list were merged or eliminated. Between of these keywords, keywords that had frequency higher of five, in other words 30% of the high frequency words were selected.Accordingly, in order to content analysis, 36 keywords for Bibliometrics, 19 keywords for domain Scientometrics and the same keywords for Infometrics area were used. Conclusion: Three areas were identified that the emphasis field of Bibliometrics is on Issues and Scientific information and library scope, and two other areas emphasize general information and the total area. The amount of information and data we retrieve and use is growing rapidly. Data mining is the process of extracting relevant data from large volumes of data and the method of discovering and finding the appropriate pattern from large volumes of data sets. Clustering is one of the most common methods of statistical data analysis, and also one of the best data mining approaches. This approach, as a method of unsupervised learning, uses algorithms to classify time series data according to different criteria. The purpose of this study is to investigate the types of applications of clustering and networking in various financial fields, including risk, algorithmic trading, banking and other widely used topics in this field. In this research, using the bibliometrix package in the software, all the researches on clustering is reviewed. While extracting various criteria and clustering approaches, its applications have been studied. This study with a comprehensive review of all research in this field can help researchers as a toolbox to provide a variety of clustering methods in ideation and selection of appropriate methods in classifying and analyzing financial data.
