Whenever researchers come across a new point concerning Sassanid history, succeed in deciphering an inscription, or discover and understand a new cultural work, they invariably turn to Sassanid relief carvings, which have long been famous and considered valuable sources of the Sassanid period. Precious reliefs, which, as authentic criteria, can serve to measure documents obtained from historical and archaeological studies, giving rise to important discoveries and results, represent a large portion of the Sassanid arts, cultural political and religious practices. Since the rise of the Sassanid dynasty is important in the process of Iran's history, it is necessary to clarify the exact status of archaeological findings - especially its rock reliefs be remove their historical content from any ambiguity and darkness. Studies show that (1) The donor of the royal crown to Ardeshir Babakan in one of the reliefs of Naqsh-e Rajab, Fars is none other than Ahura Mazda. Attributing this character to a high priest or any other mortal character has no scientific basis or rationale; (2) The marriage of Ardeshir Babakan with Ardavan V’s daughter and the birth of Shapur I as a result of this marriage, is false, and derived from a folk legend. Statement of the problem: One of the periods of Iran's history before Islam is the Sasanian era, which is considered one of the turning points of Iran's history in terms of time. Because this period of history is the meeting point between Islam and pre-Islam. Purpose: To investigate the political and religious situation of the Sassanid Empire before the Mehr-narseh dynasty. Research method: The current research method is explanatory-analytical and the method of collecting documentary materials and the research tool is FISH. Findings: Ardeshir's politics and statecraft are based on three principles: the concentration of the Sultanate and the unity of the Iranian nation, the cooperation and coordination of the Sultanate and the clergy, and the strengthening of the Mazdisani cult, and the support and supervision of farmers. First, he united with the Zoroastrian clergy and assigned a religious authority and a great scholar named Tansar to compile and collect the sacred texts. After gaining power, Ardeshir considered the unity and integrity of Iran as the most important issue of the country and his mission; Among the other factors of the tendency to unify religion and government was the presence of Far Izdi and dependence on the royal family, including the dependence on the Achaemenid dynasty. Another case in this regard is the compromise and eclecticism in Ayin and Izdan, which is evident in all aspects of Sassanid politics Manuscript profile

The Genre of lyric in Persian literature both in prose and in poetry is more comprehensive than the other types. Unfortunately, most scholars' research in this area, both pre-Islamic and post-Islamic, focuses on poetry and less on prose. Due to this negligence, this research tries to show what is the reason of being unknown for some of these stories by introducing and analyzing four of these stories tries to show how did these texts survive in the post-Islamic era? Some of these stories, although they were verbally prevalent among the people, but were not written in pre-Islamic Persian languages, and only a few of them came to the next era, but the Greeks have brought them in their works. Some although were recorded in the Greek works, but the oral tradition, retained them and brought them to the next era with some changes. The story of Golnar and Ardeshir which is included in the book of Ardeshir Babakan in Pahlavi language, was later directly a reference for Ferdowsi to make it a poem. But Hezarafsan tales have gone a long way and it was important for the non-Persians rather than Persians. Arabs translated it into One Thousands and One Nights alf-Lailat and Laila with some changes. Abstract The enigma of sources and the methodology Ferdowsi employed to compose Shahnameh is one of the major challenges in Shahnameh scholarship.  Based on the similarity of certain titles in the introduction remained by the Abu Mansouri Shahnameh, a group assumed that this book was the sole source used by Ferdowsi.  However some believed that Ferdowsi along side it had utilized other sources.  The main reason for this group of researchers is that since the only common main source used by Ferdowsi and Tha'alibi is Abu Mansouri's shahnameh and that some parts of Shahnameh such as Bizhan and Manizheh, and The seven trials of Rostam which were not appeared in Tha'alibi's work, Ghorarosyr it can be concluded that those parts were certainly borrowed from another source.  Nevertheless the fact that Tha'alibi's use of the Shahnameh of Abu Mansouri is provable according to his own claim, due to the destruction of the Shahnameh of Abu Mansouri, it is difficult to determine which stories in particular were borrowed from this Shahnameh by Tha'alibi.  Analysis of four narratives of the tale of Ardeshir Babakan from four texts and their comparison with the version of the Shahnameh of Ferdowsi indicates that Ferdowsi while drawing upon a written source, had used many other sources intermittently to compile the tale of Ardeshir Babakan.
