This study tried to investigate the relationship between attachment style, difficulties in emotion regulation and marital satisfaction among teachers in Kish Island. The sample included 100 female teachers whom were selected through simple random sampling method. Measures were Simpson’s Attachment Style Questionnaire (ASQ), Gratz and Romer's Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS) and Enrich' Marital Satisfaction Scale. Results suggested positive significant relationship between secure attachment style and marital satisfaction, negative relationship between insecure attachment styles (ambivalent & avoidant) and marital satisfaction and negative relationship between difficulty in emotion regulation and marital satisfaction. The findings revealed as well a multiple relationship between attachment style and difficulty in emotion regulation with marital satisfaction. Regression analysis also proved that ambivalent attachment style as being the best way to predict marital satisfaction. Manuscript profile
