1 - Dialectic between the Inside and the Outside: A phenomenological Approach to Place

This paper aims to explore the dialectic of the interior space and the exterior space as one of the prominent features of place through the lens of phenomenology, which regards place as the exis‌tential basis of mankind in the universe. The spatial s‌tructure of place encompasses conceptual, operational and extensional models –cases which contain both the generalities and the details of spatial s‌tructure and allow for phenomenological analysis and interpretation of place. In this approach, the phenomenon of place as the spatial and exis‌tential basis of mankind has a special significance. Unders‌tanding the features and s‌tructure of place can help us better perceive its nature and can lead to formation of cognitive foundations in the deep relationship between mankind and the universe. Given the shortcomings of quantitative approaches, architecture is becoming more interes‌ted in the phenomenological thinking sys‌tem. The methodology of this s‌tudy moves from theory to research and from research to theory in an exploratory manner with a mixed nature and with emphasis on qualitative inves‌tigation. Relying on phenomenological approach, which calls for return to the things themselves, this s‌tudy attempts to revisit the phenomenon of place with a closer look, to explore the nature of dialogue between the inside and the outside as a s‌tructural feature and to examine the relationship between mankind, place and universe; it attempts to answer this ques‌tion: how is it possible to approach the s‌tructural nature of a place by means of dialectic unders‌tanding of the interior space and the exterior space of that place. For this purpose, firs‌t the mos‌t important concepts and topics in phenomenology and their relationship with the subject of the inside and the outside are reviewed; then, the concepts of the inside and the outside are analyzed by means of exploring the phenomenon of place and its cons‌tituting s‌tructures from different perspectives; finally, a conceptual model for unders‌tanding the nature and qualities of this relationship in different places will be proposed. Library research is the main data collection tool in this s‌tudy, majorly revolving around reviewing of the opinions of important theoris‌ts in this field for explanation and interpretation of the concepts of the inside and the outside. The result is a conceptual model for the dialogue between the inside and the outside which is formed based on the presence and experience of mankind in place and includes concepts such as philosophy, poetic image, identity and architecture as well as components such as spatial s‌tructure, character, boundary, area, path and center. This model can help us expand our conceptual and operational unders‌tanding of the relationship between the interior space and the exterior space. When the aim is unders‌tanding the roots and philosophical principles of the inside and the outside with a phenomenological approach, concepts such as intentionality (as the nature and main root), presence, absence, ready-to-hand, present-at-hand and proximity, which facilitate unders‌tanding of the subject, mus‌t be s‌tudied at the highes‌t order. 2 - “Complete Peace”: The Logical Dialogue of World Literature in the Logic of a Dialogue between Hazef and Goethe

The extreme form of cultural peace and affection among two nations can be found in Goethe’s love towards Hafez. In his spiritual maturity, Goethe was so infatuated by Hafez’s well established thought that he could choose an interactive approach and frequently talked about this infatuation. Literary relationships between Iran and Germany are not confined to Hafez and Goethe, but the magnificence of the logical dialogue between them stands outside time and place. Goethe introduced the idea of the world literature for the first time; Bakhtin offered dialogism, the relationship of a speech to another one to omit monologism; and Julia Kristeva developed this concept to the relation between texts and literary discourses. This study aims to review Hafez and Goethe’s dialogue as a symbol of east and west and analyze the world literature theory from one hand and study the effect of this dialogue in constituting positive global discourses on the other. In so doing, the role of logical dialogue among texts and discourses is highlighted to create a universal peace and understanding, to glorify the similarities and respect the differences leniently. This study deals with this idea analytically, comparatively and critically. Manuscript profile

Concept of liberty is one of the important and significant issues in freedom and liberalism. The present research initially studies two main elements – liberty concept and strategies to achieve liberty – in Frankfurt school which is a twentieth century idea and then criticizes the liberty concerned by the mentioned school. The outcomes show and prove that the concept of liberty in Frankfurt school owns ethical concept and means freedom of capitalism system; it focuses on social freedom only. Since the main ideology by ethical issues is freedom of egoism from Islam viewpoint. Holy Quran knows human's passion and desire as constraint for freedom and expresses it in two aspects: internal liberty – moral – and external liberty – social. Manuscript profile

Along with other story elements such as space-making, narrator, plot, character, etc., the tone is one of the most important and artistic ways to strike a relationship between the story and its audience. Inasmuch as this element speaks of the specific atmosphere and behavioral aspects on the basis of which the text should be read and comprehended, it is so important that not knowing it well may mislead the audience in understanding the text and forming relations between different components of the story and make the correct understanding of the text and its ideas difficult.  But what is the tone? What are the types? How important is this element? How much can it influence the enjoyment from a work? The present article studies the 24 tones in Chaharmaghaleh in order to see whether there can be a proportion between the number and the types of tones in every chapter of the book. Manuscript profile

In Sadiq Hedayat's works, it can be claimed that his works can be adapted to this theory in order to answer the question of what propositions and methods Hedayat used to spread his words and project his philosophical and social views. works before him with the intertextual method, had a remarkable skill in processing his works, so that in criticizing and analyzing his works, getting to know his mental space requires more precision and effort in different sciences. With the approach and method of content analysis and library study, the dialectic between me and myself, as well as the confrontation between myself and the society, and how to use rhetorical statements and the confrontation between me and the other have been examined. The works of Hedayat can sometimes be seen as arising from the action resulting from the confrontation between oneself and the community, and sometimes from the dialectic between oneself and oneself. The result of this research, by analyzing the components of me and the other, intertextuality, narrative style and interrogative, exclamatory and imperative statements, shows that the guidance between self and society and the dialectic between self and self is in Ceylon and he uses any method to express his opinions. Design is a multi-layered process that has changed to meet today's needs. Collective design evolves by criticizing the individual approach, based on the cooperation between design actors. The basis of this process focuses on the dialogue of actors and learning happens within the team. In this regard, the current research seeks to answer the question "what is the effect of dialogue in collective design on actors' learning?". The current research is conducted qualitatively and has a practical nature. The data in this research were collected from library studies and observing the practical action of collective design, and after coding, they were analyzed with logical reasoning strategy. Interaction in the design process transforms the nature of design from an intuitive and individual matter to a collective event. The findings show that four models of open, closed, hierarchical and network layouts could be obtained in collective design, which can be used to integrate these layouts in order to achieve different results. All these models are conversational. Observations of the practical experience of collective design show that the quality of conversations is more critical and the role of critical thinking is significant. Also, considering the three levels of active, experiential and collaborative learning that emphasize collective interaction, the cycle of dialogues affects learning of activists and causes intellectual transformation. This learning conforms to the social learning model and works as an idea generation machine by providing parallel solutions. Manuscript profile

In religious and mystical thought, verbal communication between man and the Creator has a special place. God is the first to make this connection. Both sides of the communication sometimes have the role of the sender and sometimes the role of the receiver. In the present article, we examine 1.the methods of verbal communication with God in the form of praying Namāz and prayer (doā) and related customs 2. The role of necessary tools, such as hearing, for verbal communication 3. The role of body movements in completing and enhancing verbal communication 4. The ways in which God communicates with his people through revelation and inspiration. In praying Namāz, the way of speaking and the type of gesture is determined by God for man, but in praying man selects the method of communication regarding Quranic verses, Hadith (the statements of the Prophet) and his/her mental states. We have used new theories, such as the theory of Jakobson and David Berlo’s communication model, to analyze the verbal communication of man with God. Manuscript profile

The concept of "the other" came to literature and was introduced to literary theories through Mikhail Bakhtin. According to him, among the literary genres, it is only in the novel, specifically Dostoevsky's novels, which the possibility of dialogue and the presence of the other are provided. Also, he suggests that genres of epic and tragedy, like Tolstoy's novels, lack dialogic characteristics. He believes that the foundation of epic works is based on elimination of the other. In the present article, the attempt has made to show the representations of "the other" in Shāhnāmeh based on a deconstructional and negative approach to the theory of Bakhtin. These representations can be studied with respect to the following issues: 1) the creation of Shāhnāmeh as a voice versus the prevailing voice; 2) Shāhnāmeh as a meeting point of various genres; 3) institution of championship versus institution of kingdom; and 4) marriage with foreigners. They indicate to the presence of "the other" and the existence of dialogue and polyphony in Shāhnāmeh Manuscript profile

Dialogue has opened a new horizon for reading texts in literature. By using dialogue, Attār of Nishapur has tried to explain the relationship between master and devotee, so to interpret spiritual journey (Suluk) and transformation of personality. Also, in education there is a kind of verbal and intelligible interaction between master and devotee that helps to reach the devotee to intelligible and personal perfection. So, it seems that we can find some reasonable interactions between spiritual journey (Suluk) and education in analyzing the relationship between master and devotee. Based on theory of constructivism, the present article attempts to re-read the relationship between them and to analyze the story regarding the journey of the birds towards Simorq. We focus on the dialogue as an element that provides coherence, and consider the functions of this theory. Emphasizing on dialogue helps to know the importance of the other, as well as organizing and partnership. Manuscript profile

Post-Revolution Iran has various experiences and lessons in different fields. One of the most important lessons learned in elite areas are talks that are not in the political arena, but in a religious approach and in organizational and academic forms with religious ones. This research, based on the method of thematic analysis, tries to focus on the knowledge and experience of the actors on their cultural understanding and interpretation of the intuitive dialogue and to organize it in a systematic way. To this end, field data was collected in a targeted way and in a semi-structured interview with 15 actors in the field. In the analysis of the content derived from the speeches, it was determined that, in terms of culture, “the other” is a subject and not an object and there is a kind of sympathy between me and the other. Dialogue has an identity role; its socialization is indispensable and the most important factor in strengthening social tolerance. This approach, by adopting an anthropological look in a conversation with other religious ones, puts originality to the other, and attention to dignity, equality of rights and shared values is one of the most important factors contributing to the unification between me and the other with a focus on human reliance. Based on the turn-taking processes which is one of the study fields in Applied Stylistics, the quality of starting the conversation, the quantity and number of turn takings of the participants, time and duration of turn for every speaker, leading the subject matter of conversation by the participants and meanwhile the impact of all the aforementioned factors on the degree of command and the authority of the speakers to organize the subject of speech are dealt with in this study.  The general aim of this research is to study the conversational acts on the basis of turn-taking and addressing system in the combat between Rostam and Esfandyar.  The results obtained show that the alternating turns in this epic narrative coincides with the analytic literature of conversation.  It seems that apart from the influence of narrator in moving the story forward, the strength and dominance of these two epic figures have significant role in assessing and predicting the outcome of the tale.  In dialogues, the organization of turns taken by each speaker, type of addressing the other party on behalf of each participant, are influenced by the heroic and regal circumstances so that the narrator is often with respect to these aspects selects suitable discourse for Rostam and Esfandyar.  Discourse indicative of physical strength for the former, and the one emphasizing the spiritual strength and Divine Farr for the latter.
