        Purpose: Providing non-textbooks for new literates is an effective strategy for continuing education and promoting literacy. For this purpose, it is necessary that these books must be compiled in accordance with literate’s demography and cultural traits. Hence, this research aims to study the effectiveness of non-textbooks from women literates' perspective. Methodology: To do this, 120 female new literates were randomly selected. To collect desire data, a researcher-made questionnaire including 5 components formal, content, execution, their effect on general and social information and reading and writing was distributed and completed. Findings: Results showed that new literates’ perspective is positive to the 5 components. So, the relationship between age and attitude to non-textbooks effectiveness was significant (0.29).  Also, the relationship between educational grades with attitude to non-textbooks effectiveness was significant (0.35). Conclusion: The non-textbooks can warranty continuing learning in women literates. Manuscript profile

        Present paper investigates the contents of the 11 easy to read books which are presented in the continuing education programs of Literacy Movement Organization of Tehran by content analysis method. The main purpose is to show the strength and the weak points of these books to the writers and experts of continuing education planning. The results show that the majority of these books (77%) are in coordination with the aims of continuing education programs. Manuscript profile
