This study was aimed at investigating the effectiveness of the group therapy using transactional analysis in couples’ communication patterns. The target population consisted of all couples referring to one of the psychological clinics in Mashhad to receive expert help on marital issues. Then, 16 couples were selected by convenience sampling method and randomly assigned into control and experimental groups. All couples completed it at pre, post, and three-month follow-up treatment stages. The data has been analyzed by multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA).according to the findings, the males’  constructive mutual communication pattern of experimental group increased significantly in post-test and follow-up stage compared to the control group (P<0.05). The results revealed that TA group therapy has a significant impact on increasing mutual constructive communication pattern and such an approach can be applied to family intervention. Purpose: This study aimed to delineate the couple therapy's effectiveness with the transactional analysis to reduce marital disaffection and advance marital commitment in couples with marital conflicts. Methodology: The study was quasi-experimental with the pretest-posttest design, and a two-month follow-up test was directed through a control group. The study population contained all couples with marital issues referred to the counseling centers of Mahabad in the second half of 2019 year. To this end, 30 couples were selected by a purposive sampling method and randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups (15 couples). Couples in the experimental group received ten sessions of 2 hours for Transactional analysis per week; nonetheless, the control group did not receive this training. The data were collected using the Marital Disaffection Scale (Kayser, 1993), the Marital Commitment Questionnaire (Adams and Jones, 1997), and Marital Conflict Questionnaire (Sanai, Barati, and Boostanipoor, 1387). Data were analyzed by Chi-squared, Repeated Measures ANOVA and Dunn-Bonferroni post hoc method using SPSS-24 software. Findings: The findings of Chi-squared indicated that there was no significant difference between the experimental and control groups in terms of age, education, number of children, duration of the marriage, and divorce intention (P >0.05). Correspondingly, there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups regarding marital disaffection and marital commitment and their related dimensions regarding the pre-test, post-test, and follow-up phase (P <0.05). Moreover, these results were maintained in the follow-up phase after two months (P <0.05). Conclusion: Based on the obtained results, the couple-therapy teams can exploit the Transactional analysis approach besides other training programs to improve marital issues and conflicts. Psychological pathology is the study of the psychological abnormality and psychopathy which is created in human being in two levels of interpersonal and intrapersonal because of severe excitation and anxiety. The relation of interpersonal one is a kind of important and basic  motivation for adaptation. And its mark is lack of defensive situation, having sincerity and satisfaction. The more human being is able to harmonize the internal tendency and the expectation of society, the more adaptable it will be. Deficiency in relationship and failure in communication and un-coordination and its conflict have unfavorable impact on the function of the peripheral people. Eric Berne divides the interaction of human personality into child, parent and the matured. He believes that if there is a harmony among these, the individual will be safe from characteristic point of view but at times it hinders the man function normally. Berne has called these cases " contamination and rejection ". In this research we analyze the behavior of the Ghaznavid's ministers by the two above – mentioned  components and deal with their structural problems . The findings of the research show that most of the relations which are accompanied with tension are the outcome of anger, psychosis and unconscionability.   Manuscript profile
