        1 - Comparison the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and cognitive- behavior therapy on Female Sexual Interest/Arousal Disorder, Sexual Intimacy and Sexual Self- Concept of Women

        The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy and cognitive behavior therapy on female sexual interest/arousal disorder, sexual intimacy and sexual self- concept of married women referring to counseling centers in Isfahan city. This was a quasi-experimental design with pretest, posttest, three months follow up and control group. The population included married women with sexual interest arousal problems who responded to calls from counseling centers. 45 Samples were selected with Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-fifth edition criteria and female sexual function questionnaire scores. Subjects were randomly assigned in two experimental groups and control group. The experimental groups received 8 sessions 90 minutes weekly intervention. The instruments used in this study included Rosen Female Sexual Function Questionnaire, Botlani Sexual Intimacy Questionnaire and Snell Sexual Self- Concept Questionnaire. Data analysis was performed by analysis of covariance with repeated measures. The results showed that both treatment approaches had a significant effect on all three variables. (P>0.05). And there was no significant difference between the two treatment approaches. Thus, both therapeutic interventions can be used to improve sexual desire / arousal disorders and increase sexual intimacy and sexual self-concept. Manuscript profile

        AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy on emotion management, experiential avoidance and cognitive flexibility in women affected by marital infidelity who visited the counseling centers in Khorramabad. The statistical population included all women affected by marital infidelity who visited to counseling centers in Khorram Abad city in 2022. The research sample consisted of 30 women affected by marital infidelity. They were selected by convenience sampling method and randomly replaced in two groups of 15 people, experimental and control. The research design was a semi-experimental pre-test-post-test-Follow-up type with control and experimental groups. To collect data, Garnevsky et al.'s (2001) cognitive emotion regulation questionnaires, Gams et al.'s (2011) experiential avoidance, Dennis and Vander Wall's (2010) cognitive flexibility questionnaires were used to analyze the data. One-way Repeated Measures Analysis of Variance were use (p<0.005), Acceptance and commitment therapy was performed in the form of 8 sessions of 90 minutes and once a week on the experimental group, and during this period, no intervention was performed on the control group The results showed that acceptance and commitment therapy is effective in increasing emotion management and cognitive flexibility and reducing experiential avoidance.The findings showed that the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy had an effect on the average scores of emotion management, experiential avoidance and cognitive flexibility (p<0.05). It can be concluded that the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is effective on emotion management and flexibility Cognitive adaptability and experiential avoidance of women affected by marital infidelity are effective.         This study aimed to assess the impact of acceptance and commitment therapy on the cognitive regulation of emotion, mental-physical health, and the experience of flow in college students. Using a semi-experimental pre-test-post-test design with a control group, the research involved undergraduate students from the Islamic Azad University of Gorgan in the academic year 2021-2022. Thirty students were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups (15 each). Data were collected using Garnevsky et al.'s Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire, Weir and Sherburne's Health Background Questionnaire, and Jackson and Marsh's Drowning Experience Questionnaire at pre- and post-treatment stages. The experimental group underwent 8 sessions of group therapy based on acceptance and commitment, while the control group received no treatment. Data analysis employed univariate analysis of covariance test. Results indicated that acceptance and commitment therapy significantly influenced the cognitive regulation of emotion, psychological health, and the experience of flow in students (P < 0.05). The findings suggest that therapy based on acceptance and commitment can effectively enhance cognitive regulation of emotions, psychological health, and the experience of flow in students.Keywords: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotion Regulation, Physical Mental Health, Drowning Experience.
