A Case- report about Linguatula serrata nymph infestation of a camel in khorasan- razavi province

Abstract :
The linguatula serrata is one of the parasitic Zoonoses. Human beings may also be infected by both the Nymph stage, a condition called nasopharyngeal linguatulosis or Halzoun syndrome and the egg, a condition called visceral linguatulosis. In this study, one Female camel, 5 year old, that died in Kazemabad village of Mashhad town in Khorasan Razavi province(2010), examined for diagnosis of linguatula serrata nymph in mesenteric lymph nodes, lung and liver. Samples of camel tissues after examining in parasitology laboratory of Islamic Azad university- Tabriz Branch, reported as possitive.
