Abstract :
The main objective of this study is to investigate the effect of artificial intelligence on innovative work behavior through the mediating role of human resource management practices. To achieve this goal, the descriptive-correlation research method and the structural equation modeling technique using PLS software were used. The statistical population of this study includes 310 employees of Urmia Municipality. The results showed that artificial intelligence has a direct impact on human resource management practices and innovative work behavior. Also, human resource management practices significantly affect innovative work behavior. In addition, the findings showed that human resource management practices play a mediating role in the relationship between artificial intelligence and innovative work behavior. These results highlight the importance of using artificial intelligence-based technologies and effective human resource management practices to enhance innovation in organizations, especially in government institutions such as municipalities. This research has important implications for human resource managers and policymakers in government organizations. First, the use of artificial intelligence can directly and indirectly promote innovative behavior in organizations. Also, paying attention to improving human resource management practices along with the use of new technologies can help enhance innovation and productivity in employees. As a result, organizations must seriously upgrade their management practices to create an innovative and dynamic work environment, in line with technological advances, and use artificial intelligence as an important tool in facilitating this process.
