The relationship between social capital and communion in city affairs management and solving Tehran city problems

Abstract :

Introduction and Aim: This article is searching for the amount of social capital of citizens and the effects of social capital on citizen communion in city affairs management and solving city problems. Method: The data is collected with questioner and random sampling is used. The amount of sample is 396 people and the results are analyzed with SPSS software. The society of this article is families in three sectors in third zone of Tehran. All the samples are more than fifteen years old. Results: The results show that there is a meaningful relationship between social capital of citizens and communion of them in management the city affairs and solve its problems. As consequence the researchers found that there is a direct and meaningful relationship among social norms observation, communion of citizens and social capital in different sectors, but there is no relationship among variables like social trust, citizen's communion, social capital and communion management and decision making in city affairs, also among all the variables there is just a direct relationship among age, education and income with social capital.
