Abstract :

The purpose of this study was to design and test the model of antecedents and consequences of strategic alignment in the general administrations of sports and youth. The method of this research was mixed. The participants of this study in the qualitative study were the staff managers of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the managers of sports and youth departments, 18 of them were selected by purposeful sampling and based on theoretical saturation. The statistical population of this research in a quantitative study consisted of all the official and contractual employees of the general sports and youth departments, 360 of them were selected by one-stage random cluster sampling. In the qualitative part, a semi-structured interview was used to collect the data, and in the quantitative study, a questionnaire was used. Lincoln and Gaba (1985) evaluation criteria were used to check the quality and accreditation of the qualitative results in this research, and in order to confirm the validity in the quantitative part, face and content validity were confirmed by 8 sports management professors. Also, the reliability of the questionnaire was obtained using Cronbach's alpha of 0.896. In order to analyze qualitative data, coding and quantitative data were used using structural equation modeling method.
